Hello everyone, I have issues with my internet speed. They say that no matter who your provider is, it always boils down to your router or modem. I have NBN (FTTP) Currently, I am getting 25/5 from MATE so it is not giving me the speed I want. This is my 3rd time to change. Maybe, I have to chance my router. Can someone please help recommend a good router or modem for NBN (FTTP). Not too expensive though. Also, any Internet provider to recommend as well? I am thinking this time, I would want to go all the way to 100mbps provided I will get a better provider and better modem too. Thanks heaps guys!!!!

Unlimited isn't a negative.
People who use unlimited often don't use as much as people who have a limit "to use or they're wasting money".
It will boil down to your router to an extent. Eg. Wifi performance and range limitations can cause a bottleneck. Since you have FTTP, you only need a wifi router. I like the TP Link Archer C9. They are about $200.
As for internet providers, most people will recommend Aussie Broadband if you want guaranteed speed. Otherwise there is a deal with Telecube for $69 from whirlpool -
https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=267595 they are pretty heavily recommend too. Also https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/350428 Mungi have a good deal going if you need Unlimited.
I'm with Buzz Telco $69 unlimited a month and they have given me great speeds, but they had outages and screwed around a lot of customers so not many people will recommend them here or whirlpool :)
Good luck.
What modem/router are you using currently?
Um, they lied. What speeds are you getting?
Pretty sure you don't need a modem since you have that box in the garage
Never heard of them, but since they offer unlimited plans I'd stay away from them. Go with AussieBroadband
