Professional Detail or White Vinegar

My sister has recently purchased a car and I noticed some rain spots around the car which a wax will not remove. She wants to pay $500 for a professional detail but I read that using white vinegar can remove them as well. Any feedback would be appreciated.

This says go for it - http://guidetodetailing.com/damage-repair/how-to-remove-wate…

But try a small patch in an unnoticable place first to test it out.

    • Good advice, but if it fails, then a light machine polish would be required. It really depends how long the water spots have been there and how much abrasion (if any) is needed to remove them. More work equals more cost, but that $500 might also include interior cleaning, am I right?

Is there anything that white vinegar can't do?

Try rubbing alcohol or clay bar/glove/towel.
