$300 - $400 Android Phone with Good Camera

Bought wife a Moto G3 a year and half ago and have been putting up with her nagging since then due to the poor camera quality. Looking for significant improvement in camera this time. And also a name brand phone (LG, Sony, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Nokia etc.) from a local seller (Quality Deals ebay is ok) for easy and quick and warranty handling. I have looked into Nokia 6, Moto G5s Plus, HTC One x10 but couldn’t decide. Please advise.

  • If you want a good camera and Android I suggest getting the cheapest Pixel you can find (Not Pixel 2). If that isn't in your price range a refurb Nexus 6P would also be an upgrade from what you have. Just beware of the 2 year-ish battery issue with Nexus 6P (but a refurb might have a superior battery in it).

  • Officeworks ZTE Axon 7 still available for $355

    • Are they established as a reliable brand yet? I just bought a oppo R9 phone for a friend and it started giving trouble.

      • They've been selling phones under their brand name for a good 5 years now.
        2 year local warranty.
Personally I'd rate them far higher than Oppo who are just a new model machine. They dump support for old models super quick!

  • Have you tried different camera apps? Google Camera app is better than the default app however I'm not sure if it's still available?

If you can stretch your budget to within $500, you can get S7 here. Awesome camera.

I'm having the same dilemma. I looked at the Samsung galaxy J7 prime $319 or pro $378 from Kogan. But I may end up investing more to get the S7. Good luck!

I read about J7 pro and learned the camera is slow and the pic doesn't come good.

    S7 for $500.

Best camera in its price range

  • Nokia 5 $248 at hardly normal
