AndroidWear is closed-source, and Google has been quite negligent with it.

They're barely better than Samsung's effort in supporting TizenOS, if that helps clear somethings up.

Apple Watch, I hate the design and most of the UI choices. But damn, does Apple show all the other OEMs how to build, market, and support a product.

Just a little heads up, before you go diving into this dying ecosystem.

With 50 bucks you won't get anything. Not even decent. You might see something and think it's okay cheap anyway what can be wrong just for fun let's try I don't mind less features hey photo looks good let's punt etc…. And….. It goes to bin after a week. Just don't. You wasting $30 $40 $50 whatever you end up spending.

    • Yeah this seems the case the more i look, might just splurge a bit more and get a ticwatch E

or huawei watch 1 second hand. haggle hard and wait patiently you'll get one for $150.
its okay to have a budget but there are things that are just impossible to get - you CAN but they are just end up in the bin. other options, wait for super special clearance sale event where you can get well known brand for fraction of price.
example, huawei watch 1 brand new for $120 on telstra ebay months ago.

    Pebble Time Secondhand
It's not Android Wear, but it's cheap, reliable and still offers all the features you need from a smartwatch without all the fluff you don't need. And still has very competitive battery life.
