Bought today at JB Hi-Finfrom price match. Myer website shows no stock, but did see some at the Eastland, Vic store yesterday, so check your local store. Still not super cheap for HDMI, but good price for a good brand.

Closest price I may have seen since the days of dicksmith 1m for $5

$19 for a HDMI cable…. Good one mate.

Cheers for the post, but price matches aren't a deal, and even if they were this isn't good value.
Dont be fooled by the sales team at Harvey Norman etc. HDMI cables are all basically the same quality, they either work or they don't.

    • +1

Depends what quality, if you're talking durability that isn't the case at all.

True over short distances but 10+ metres is a different story.

      • Over 10m think one needs a HDMI Fibre Optic like Ruipro for 4K UHD, not cheap.

  • +2

This isnt a bargain it’s a flat out rip off.

This is just as good $6 every day of the week http://www.dcomponline.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_in…

$19 for an hdmi cable. No deal.

looks like someone has been Gerry Harvey's favourite shopper for too long.

    Dude.
HDMI 1 m $4.39 delivered. First eBay result 2M $5.49, 3M $6.99 and that seller has every length up to 20M.
1's and 0's either get through or they don't.

I just noticed you've been a member since 2015, surely there has been a HDMI cable deal since then. I feel for you but this is OzBargain, the HDMI scam is beginner level.

Poor guy… Much to learn young Padawan

  • I think it's a good deal. If you want a good quality cable that won't break (i.e. going traveling, work meeting etc.) it's probably the best quality cable you can get at this price. Or if you want something nice for a home theatre or a nice TV set up, it's a nice cable to have. I've had cheap and good quality cables, after a few bends the cheap ones start to get a bit fiddly.

It's funny that people pay a premium for Blitzwolf cables, but when it's HDMI suddenly people go all 'It's a ripoff!!!'

Just because people have been flogging Monster cables for $200, everyone despises decent quality cables.

    • I agree, There is an in-between the cheapest cables and Rip off Cables. A lot of the $5-$10 ones are often thick and and just feel crappy. Doesn't hurt to pay a bit more for something that lasts.

There is big difference between the connection cycles of a Blitzwolf mobile phone charging/data cable which quite possibly gets connected once or twice a day, moved around while connected, rolled over in bed, disconnected by yanking the cable, reconnected etc. to a HDMI cable which might get connected and moved maybe 4 times in it's life.

Please don't tell me people solely buy Blitzwolf because of QC because they don't and there are cheaper ones that provide the same features. A lot of people like that silly red braided Beats looking design and the durability is better than those cheap standard Micro USB cables.

Edit: Here's one. I don't see a post for this which is cheaper than the Blitzwolf. USB 3.0 as well. https://www.gearbest.com/chargers-cables/pp_1372016.html

Mate, they take the punishment, deliver the juice and the USB C are Benson approved. It's as simple as that. Appearance has stuff all to do with it.

          @Flyerone:

          "they take the punishment"

You've proven my point. Case closed.

        • @jared444: Don't have an opinion on them.

What if you watch Pitch Perfect on a Hisense tv?

          @jared444: This isn't Reddit Jared.

        • @Flyerone: Reddit is a secret, you mustn't talk of it!

    • Yeah but it's 19 bucks and it's not braided :|

    • I will pay a bit more for a htmi cable that fit my device, but not too much. However, I will pay more premium for my phone cable, quite a few phone cable has been broken in my family. May be a tough one will last longer, even it may not last as long as cheap htmi cable which doesn’t need to plug and unplug daily.

      • There are some people who do plug and unplug hdmi cables frequently however

If you’re not passing any 4K signal, any cheapie HDMI cable is good as long as they’re under 10m.

4K signal requires about 18GBps, and trust me I’ve been buying cheapie cables e.g. $3-5 cables that was sold as 4K but they’re hopeless in getting a stable HDCP handshake.

So instead of looking at the brands, check the specs, which this product didn’t produce.

I’ve had Belkin lightning cables and they weren’t charging my iPhone because they’re not certified. Belkin aren’t that reliable.

    • Once over 10m to get 4K@60Hz and 18Gbps it has to be a HDMI Fibre Optic cable as HDMI copper cable just cant carry the data.
