Hoping I can get some help.
I want to go to from Brisbane to London next year (probably August) and want to try and use my points but not really sure what I'm doing.
I currently have 90k Velocity points, 80k Amex points and my $400 travel credit with Amex. Any advice on the best way to do this?

I was planning on economy as I don't have enough points for business. Does it work out better to sell the points?
One possible option is to convert your Amex points into Velocity points to pool them together, as 90K by itself won't get you all to way there and back. Please note that using points to book economy is usually not great value, as it's only a bit cheaper than booking business

Yes from my limited experience the taxes are similar and punishing, for both Business & Economy. But Business redemption compared to Business fare, is very attractive.
Are you planning on flying business or economy?
f you are want to fly business use the points if you want to fly economy sell the points and buy the ticket.
