  • Looks like no band 28. Does this have a 3.5mm headphone jack?

      • but there will be a Type-C to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter included

        • Yes, that is right.

Is it one that allows charging at the same time as listening to audio?

  • What is the cheapest phone on the market with 8gb ram atm?

Which one has the fastest charging out of the 8? Or cheapest.

        • +4

The description for each phone in that link has that information.

Some are QC3, some are QC4, OnePlus uses Dash Charge. They all have different batteries and different charge wattages so it's not a level playing field comparison-wise.

I'll leave you to do the rest of the research seeing as you're the one who's about to drop $500+ on a phone.

OP I am a bit confused.

As you are shipping these phones from Melbourne. Are you claiming that the Xiaomi Mi 6 is now certified for sale/supply in Australia?

    • +1

I'm interested to know this as well

    • Mobile ship from melbourne with global version. Xiaomi does not have special made mobile for Australia market.

Mobile ship from melbourne with global version. Xiaomi does not have special made mobile for Australia market.

I am very surprised that you appear to be admitting to unlawfully importing and selling mobile phones that are not certified for sale or supply in Australia.

The penalties for doing this can be HUGE.

Are the rest of the Xiaomi items you are selling also not certified for sale/supply in Australia?

Here is a good, and perhaps useful, quote from another seller's website:-

"Hello, ACMA. How can I assist you today?"

"Oh, hi, I'd like to report that someone is selling illegal phones on OzBargain"

"Thanks for the tip off. What's the company's ABN?"

          "…"

"Hello, ACMA. How can I assist you today?"
"Oh, hi, I'd like to report [a business that is selling] illegal [mobile] phones [and electrical items via eBay Australia]"
"Thanks for the tip off. What's the company's ABN?"

The company name is LENGOS TRADING PTY LTD
          Their ACN is 160 909 053
          and the ABN is 82 160 909 053

@A3Australia: I can't find any Google-able link between the two entities. If you know something that everyone else doesn't, perhaps you should report them?

        • @Nomadesque:

I can't find any Google-able link between the two entities.

I was contacted privately by the business owner (the OP). Who thanked me for informing him of the legal position. They (Gearbite) have a domain registered under their company name/details.

If you know something that everyone else doesn't, perhaps you should report them?

I don't feel a need to report Gearbite/LENGOS at this time. The OP has stated (privately) that they are contacting Xiaomi in an effort to get their cooperation in getting Australian certification for the products Gearbite/LENGOS are selling/importing.

@A3Australia: Why the public drama then? Surely a private message to OP in the fist instance would have been sufficient to convey your concerns?

          There was no "drama".

I simply asked if the Xiaomi Mi 6 was certified for sale/supply in Australia.

The OP's reply that the phone was a "global version" and that "Xiaomi does not have special made mobile for Australia market" caused me to question the other Xiaomi products that the OP was offering.

It seems pretty self explanatory that he is simply saying that the shipping is fast and you don't have to wait a month for shipping from Hong Kong. That's it.

Loving a lot of things about this phone, but the lack of headphone jack is a huge deal breaker for me =\

    • I currently own a 128gb version of this phone and I do miss it.

Wanted to listen to some music in the car the other day but realised there is no jack for the aux cable :(

      • +1

It's really silly the way it has caught on.

Sound itself is analog, so if the sound isn't being converted to an analog signal in your phone, it's being done in the disposable dongle.

So now not only is it still taking space outside the phone, it's being done on cheap disposable hardware…

    • Deal breaker for me.
