Hi folks noticed a good price for this Sony headphone. Price is for CC but Binglee has alot in stock. You have to add it to cart for discount to apply.

Jb and Sony store has it selling for $149 still. For $59.25 it's a steal.

I have one of these and they are pretty good for this price.

Has a noticeable hiss sound if there isn't any music but when the music is on, it really has a good base. Perfect for upbeat music.

Can't compare against Sony WH-1000XM2 or QC35 but you dont want to use them for sports related activity. This would be perfect substitute. Not waterproof though but neckband would keep it steady. Holds 8+ hours and can handle alittile bit of rain.

  • it's show up $79 on the website

    • Maybe try adding it to cart before commenting.

      • sorry, my bad

    • 25% off is applied at cart

    • You have to add to cart. Extra 25% automatically applies.

  • Nvm

  • Anyone used these for running? Some reviews say that don't move much while active but I'm not convinced.

    • They do feel solid and the material provides enough friction to stick to your skin or clothing.

There is also a little clip that your sort of zip up so wires won't sway around

  • This would be perfect substitute. Not waterproof

If it isn't made for sports there is the high risk that it fails due to sweat. It doesn't happen to every headphone/earphone and you can find threads of people using such and such for sport and if these are on there cool … but if it isn't you are gambling if you use these and sweat a lot.

    • Your pobably right.

My 2 cents would be that the whole headphones is pretty much enclosed though. The charging port has a cover so the only way sweat would enter is through the earbuds. That's the only thingy I can think of.

  • Forget about these if you need for sports/workouts.

    • It’s funny because although not written on Sony’s website, JB spruik how great they are for gym etc…

Built to be tough and durable, the MDR-XB50BS is ready for demanding exercises and workout routines.

Never be without your music again. Bluetooth® connectivity lets you run, jump, kick and more, without wires holding you back. Ergonomic arc supporters keep the headphones securely in position while you exercise.

  • Hey Harkoliar, can the neckband be removed to use without?

    • +1

Unfortunately no, neckband holds the battery.

      • Do they bother you at all?

        • +1

It doesn't bother me at all but that's me. I was also initially skeptical but headphones are pretty comfortable and soon I forget the neckband is there.

Hopefully this YouTube video would help actually

          @harkoliar:
Thanks for that, I think I’ll bite the bullet as it looks like a really decent price and I’ve been hanging out for some for the gym. I can retire my over ears for home use only.

  • doesn't seem like these have expired yet

    • Thanks I'll remove expiry for now

      • Picked mine up this morning, charged em up and down the gym now. Loving them so far, thanks again for posting 👍

  • Thanks OP, picked up a pair at Chatswood this afternoon.
