  Just been searching for the earlier Mi model, can't find any decent deals like previous ones <$320?

  Is the new 2nd Gen Roborock worth the extra coin?

  From what I've read so far, the mop isn't much chop?

    I'm interested to know also. Can you let me where it mentions the mopping feature isn't great. I'm also keen to know how well zone cleaning works, can you divide house on the Map and the app remember it as zones to clean.

    I'm happy owner of v1 btw.

        depends on your house set up I guess. If you don't need the mop - probably go for the older version.
        One of the reasons i got this is because my older version wouldn't climb up the little step on to my bathroom. It was exactly that extra 0.5cm climb I was after.
        Remote Virtual Wall is awesome option in my opinion.

    A good price is coming again mostly like early January, Sam (Gearbite rep) said xiaomi upped the price after 11.11 but he’s going to try and secure a good price in the new year.

  Further posts got me worried I might miss out on extra features etc, so bit the bullet & purchased.

  I have mostly loose lay vinyl flooring so hopefully the mopping function will work better than some of the neg reviews I've read, but then it usually the neg that stands out, positive rarely gets posted etc.

  Thanks OP! Upgrading from 1st gen and looking forward to the new and extra features.

  I think it's worth paying the extra $50 odd for the AU stock, warranty & plug compared to the Shopmonk deal.
