Help with Samsung TV, Google Home and Chromecast

Hi all,

I have a samsung UA65JU7000 Tv, google home and (thanks Santa) a google chromecast. Issues with setup- I cant get home to control the tv, change volume or turn on/off in normal settings. I have activated HDMI-CEC on the Tv but it cant find any devices when i ask it to scan. What I have managed to get it to do is to Cast youtube tv stations but only when source is HDMI. This is running on wifi and is less than satisfactory. Volume change results in home saying " your tv is at maximal volume", turn on/off results in "check if your tv supports this"… Anybody have any tips/advice?? Thanks in advance..

    I believe that Google Home will only support turning on/off a TV via a Chromecast - no other functions are supported (without additional products, e.g. Harmony)

      This. OP thinks it will do it all when it just can't
