Commercial TV lives off consumerism. There was a funny story about Naomi Klein trying to buy an ad spot on TV (I think it was in Canada) that promoted a day in which you don't purchase anything, Buy Nothing Day, or something along those lines. No TV station would allow it.

Got my wife a fitbit for just over 100. Missed out on some switch games from Amazon. Other than that, don't really need anything, although I do need to visit Bunnings later so I'll see if there is anything decent there.

i only bought one thing the xbox one s, and i only bought it for the bluray player 4k, but i dont have a tv yet, and no good deals on the C7, so itlll have to wait… perhaps the sony 9400 will do hmm
Got zelda switch for 59 aud. Codename picture boardgame for only 17 aud. Super mario level up boardgame for 14 aud. I also bought nintendo eshop card 30 aud (15% off) for golf story etc. My worst one probably that i bought a branded tommy hilfiger and calvin klein clothes at 30% & 50% discounts. Branded fashion items cannot be considered as a real bargain for me but i like it.

We didn’t have much in the way of leftovers this year, so I will roast it tomorrow to provide sandwiches for the rest of the cricket.
Over the years I have noticed Christmas/Boxing day festive season sales get only milder in terms of scoring a bargain. This time around I wasn't in the market for anything particular (other than the Xiaomi stuff that will arrive whenever) but I am curious to know how the community fared as a whole.
