Hmm.. I wonder if I'll be able to cancel my order from the other day and get this one instead :/Anyone know if videopro is easy to cancel and get refunds from? I'd rather get a cheaper tv sooner rather than wait for the pricier one (expected late January)

    • Was wondering the same. Have you had any luck?

  • A lot of TVs have click and collect but this one doesn't..

    • +2

A bit odd. This had C&C when it was posted, seems to have been removed!

    • Ergh just noticed…
Not interested in delivery when all my local jb/hn/theGG have it in stock and literally 5-10mins away.

  • +1

What are the chances of being able to return the X9000E deal from last week and upgrading to this?

    • is it still sealed in box ??

      • +2

Nope. Will call tomorrow, but I know I won't be able to. I'll just use this as a reminder to always wait for Boxing Day sales.

        • That will be a painful reminder.

Just sell it for same price? Plenty will be looking to buy

        • +2

I’m in the same boat mate.
          Regrets.
Nice tv but it’s no OLED

        • Me three :(

  • Ask DJ to buy it in on a price match at $1888 and use 10% off gift cards available year round from AGL

    • Last I saw DJs doesn't carry electrical.

        • Looks like Online only and therefore no way to price match?

        • @Spizz: DJ Market St has TVs now. you can price match there.

        • @Spizz: Sydney Market St has electronics section

        • +1

          @blaccdong:

          Selected stores do
Adelaide CBD, Brisbane CBD, Bondi, Sydney, Chadstone, Bourke St and a couple more. Pretty much just high end models with a smallish range of premium gear

        • @blaccdong: See if they accept the coupon 'PUNCH' when you meet the cashier.

        • @Budju: you need to Act on the COUPON against the cashier for it to take effect.

  • Never have LG tv before, any comment on their WebOS?

    • +2

Easy to use, stable and relatively fast. Basically the opposite of Android TV.

  • +1

i want to upgrade my 55" oled to the 65. hopefully a good deal will come for that size to
scorpiosony works fantastic here. fast, smooth. Only lacks a lot of extra apps that you could get on android

    • Thanks mate and Merry Xmas.
Considering 65" as well. Let's keep watching

  • Can anyone comment on the quality of this one compared to the Hissense 55inch N7???

    Thanks

    • +1

TV's using LG's OLED panels are basically the best TV's you can buy.

      • Thanks for that

  • Would you buy extended warranty with it?

    • No acl will be 2yrs standard and id say up to 4-5 years use. Although i have seen a 7yo faulty samsung fully credited lol

  • Has anyone had experience with this TV in a brightly lit room? I understand that OLED can be affected by bright sunlight?

  • +1

can this TV be wall mounted? if the answer is yes, can someone recommend a wall bracket compatible with this TV please?

    • +1

According to the specs on the LG website, it is VESA compatible. I need to check what size my current wall bracket is. Thanks for mentioning that.

    • Yes, can be wall mounted. I picked-up a Linden wall bracket fixed / large at TGG and it came with at least 10 different sizes of screws. Worked for my Sony, I'm sure they have screws for all the big brands.

  • Wow, The price is too attractive.

  • +1

Guys, talking about b7's bad sound quality, what sound bars will be bargains tomorrow?

    • No need for sound bar if you buy the C7 model:

      https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-55-inches139cm-oled-uhd-sm…

      • that's 1k difference,maybe c7 would eventually drop its price before LG's 2018 model release.

        • Wait for 20% off for C7 and you'll see only $300 diff.

  • Can anyone convince me to buy this or any other tv around this price range instead of the 65" Hisense N7 for $1570

    • I won't convince you but it depends on your viewing environment too, like windows reflection for example.

Oled best with lights off/night viewing whereas LCD is better with some form of light to help emphasize the fake blacks.

    • +2

      I don't think it's a comparison. OLED by a looooooong way.

Though if you are viewing from a longer distance maybe the bigger is the better option.

  • They have adjusted the quantity 3 times today… and now it shows “limited quantity available”

    Very suspicious imo.

    • Yeah that’s weird, still says more than 10 available on the mobile site so should be fine.

  • +4

Anyone in Sydney can do click and collect from bing lee
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-LG-55-OLED-TV-B7-OLED55B7T-fr…

    • Cheaper delivered too

    • Now glitched

      Postage: Doesn't post to Australia

      No click and collect

      :(

  • Should I regret my Panasonic OLED purchase from TGG, $1996?

    • I wouldn't lose any sleep. They are both great TVs.

  • As I understand with JB Hi-Fi if you buy via their site and use click and collect you can still barter the difference of another retailer up until the point you pick it up. I have paid the $1888 and have until 6:00pm to pick it up basically reserving me a unit and having the opportunity for a price match for some money back. Worst case I pay $1888 if no other retailer budges and I have a feeling very few retailers are going to move from that price I reckon this is the “Turboman” of Boxing Day.

  • Just tried the code and got 'Looks like this code isn't ready yet. Please try again later.'

    • Same here. Looks its not ready yet

  • Code not working for me ATM.

  • I’m really worried if pick it up and laying it horizontal…. it will wreck it.

    • Well then pay delivery?

      • Yer, and watch them take it out of the truck where it is lying horizontal…..

        Anyways… 12min to go…

  • Use this for click and collect if you don't want to wait and pay delivery.

It should be in par as this deal with CashRewards.

    • Are you going to transport the tv lying down?

      • Have been told this isn't an issue, providing the panel is left facing upwards

      • I've got home about an hr ago, had the TV lie flat down in a van, the warehouse guy even said to lay it down because it's got cushions in the box…

TV is all set up and running no issues, got it wall mounted too but now the TV is too high up because the screws are at the bottom in comparison to the Sony's…

Damn it's so thin I was scared the screen would crack just holding it.

  • FYI, I just went in-store to Good Guys.

They've got the C7 marked at $2236, which I've just bought. Not the $2695 marked online.

Chances are if your GG store has it in stock, that'll be the price.

    • +2

Why would I want to pay $500 extra for a TV stand and an audio feature I'll never use?

      • Yeah I'm not sure why people would buy the C7 over B7 either. Other than cosmetic, the differences are atmos using 2 internal speakers, which sounds kinda gimmicky and faster response when 1ms is already fast enough. To each their own I guess.

        • -2

Also the image retention is 5 times worse on the B7. But then are you going to stress over that considering you're saving $500? No chance

        • +1

          @vinni9284:

the image retention is 5 times worse on the B

          :o
          source?
aren't they the same panel type and differences are in the audio and stand?

        • +1

the LG site still quotes 'less than 1ms' for both C7 and B7 so dunno where Good Guys get their figures

        • @payton:

Nope. The stand on the B7 is smaller than the C7

Audio is poor on the B7.

          B7 review

          https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/b7-b7a-oled

Image retention Score 1.2: "The LG B7 has a bad result on our image retention test, as we detected some faint ghost remnant of the Rtings logos even after 10 minutes of recovery. This is a worse result than we tested on the C7"

          C7 review

          https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/c7-oled

          Image retention score: 5.2

If you already have a decent 4K HDR TV and suffer from OLED upgrade-its (like me :-) ). I would wait for the C8

There is a reason why the B7 is cheaper than the C7. Personally I hate the Silver Bezel.

          Cheers

        • +1

          @vinni9284:
you've got me checking individual scores on B7 vs C7
I just bought the 55" B7 so omg so tense

          "
This is likely only due to panel variance though, as all 2017 LG OLED TVs should perform very similarly as the panel used in those supposed to be the same. Playing normal video content for a couple more minutes did make any image retention that was still visible go away though."

It did say this under image retention on B7's review so fingers crossed its not so bad.

        • +1

          @payton:

I'm sure you will be fine.

I just can't get over the Silver Bezel. You compare this to the C7, the C7 looks way better IMO.
I guess you can buy a Texta etc and Blacken it LOL

        • @vinni9284:
          Cheers

I guess you can buy a Texta

Maybe this tape will do the trick
          'Leaves no residue when removed'
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/351331

        • @payton:

For $22, you save $600 by not buying the C7 LOL

          Cheers

        • +2

          @vinni9284:
The B7 and C7 (and every other 2017 LG OLED) all have the same panel and the same processor.
So it it affects one, it affects them all.

        • @BluBoy:

The IR paranoia is overblown anyway. I have a 3yo OLED without any noticeable IR or burn-in.

        • @BluBoy:

          Thanks for that!.

I'm just going off reviews out here tbh. RTings seems to be accurate by my purchasing experience.

It seems like there are conflicting reviews out there.

However, tbh I was hanging to get hold on an OLED and just bought it LOL!

          Do I need it? NO.

Do I want it? HELL YES!!!

        • @vinni9284:

Exactly what I just did :)
          Belated Merry Christmas to me!

      • -1

        Aesthetics are everything.

  • This code can't be applied to your order.

    • Same

  • Code cannot be applied to your order :(

    • What the hell! Doesn't work on Officeworks items either, have they blocked everything??

It's not in the exclusions, so that's ridiculous.

  • OMG THE SITE IS SO SLOW

  • "This code can't be applied to your order."

  • +2

Looks like the code is broken for everything, doesn't work on any item I add to cart..

Give it time, it should work soon.

I'm on live chat with eBay, will come back with the result.

  • +1

    Yep. Not working. That sucks.

  • +1

Yep can't get it to work! :-(. Maybe $1888 is the best we'll do?

  • everyone here saying its not working for any orders, so hopefully just a bug https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/351581?page=1#comment

  • Broken code :(

  • +6

    PUNCH eBay in the face??

    • Lol

  • Just tried calling eBay, they said try again in an hour

    • Great.. and yet their frontpage says the coupon is good to go

  • Just to confirm, there's no way to avoid the shipping cost if buying from the ebay link? no click and collect?
You'd have to do the $1888 goodguys.com.au pick-up if you wanted to get today? (so roughly a $130 difference)

    • Yes that's correct, they removed the option yesterday..You could also just buy on their site and get the 10% back in a store credit using C&C, but depends if you want a cash saving or store credit.

    • +1

BingLee link above seems to offer CnC

      • I think this is just sydney area

        • I haven't been able to add to cart even when changing to sydney address and choosing C&C

    • They also have 10% back in credit offer on their website

  • Yeah, there is the $100 credit, not sure what else to get really… maybe put towards a soundbar if the sound on these things isn't great.
I'm Melb, so not much choice for Bing Lee other than Dandy warehouse… not sure if included in click and collect?

    • Good Guys web site is down for me

  • Has anyone managed to use the PUNCH coupon for this TV or anything else?
