Road Bike ~40% off E.g Bianchi Oltre XR1 W 105 $2299, Bianchi Impulso Disc 105 $1299 @ Pushy's

190

First deal post ever, Bianchi bikes are very rarely on sale. Need to add $99 to get bike built.

I've bought a bike from their shop front in Brisbane before, not the best service relative to local mom and pa bike store as their focus is the internet warehouse side of the business, but their prices are very competitive.

They are also selling the bikes on eBay, would be a steal if you can combine any upcoming 10%-15% sitewide discount code.

Congratulations on your first post at long, long last.

Would love this with an Italian groupset on it, my mind is racing to see how I can fit this in to my collection!

    • Sentiments shared, I need sommeone to buy the 57cm ultegra Xr1 to put me out of my misery!

      • eBay’s 10% is calling you.

        • Yep, perhaps they will price jack, but it's in the shopping cart :)

        • @cryptos: I remember during the 18% birthday discount at eBay. I had won an auction before the discount offer period but paid during it. I received the discount.

  • Anyone have thoughts/reviews on the Impulso Disc 105? I’m thinking of purchasing it. Regards

    • Reviews seem positive. I'm also interested in the impulsive disc 105. Comparing other alu 105 disc road bikes, this still seems good value without taking into account the prestige brand factor.

    • Yeah I am interested too.

It would be my first road bike but as I am nearing 40 I feel the siren call of lycra.

I am also contemplating which size.

        • 10% off via eBay, using 'PUNCH' discount code.
        • eBay also quotes a cheaper shipping cost than Pushy's website.

Just know the impulso is a endurance/sportive style geometry rather then full racing geometry. So more relaxed/comfortable riding position. Not a bad thing to be more comfortable for longer rides.

        • Sounds interesting. I wonder if I could put wider tyres on it. Say a 40 with tread.

Heck Maybe I could finally admit that even in my MTB say I was merely doing cyclocross.

        • @Jake Elwood: I highly doubt it will take 40 as the Impulso frame as i understand was designed prior to the recent trend towards wide tyres

I pulled the lever on getting the Impulso Disc 105.

Congratulations! I also pulled the trigger on it. Should be good to replace my aging commuter.

  • Accidentally purchased the wrong model (rim not disc), got to say their over-the-phone service in fantastic. Super nice guys. Quality

    • Have you checked the build date at the bottom underside of the down tube? What do you find?

Mine read 2016-08-01. Mine was not 2018 model but 2017.

    • Also what colour is the writing (brand and model) on your bike? Is it grey?

    • Krizzy901 I have been trying to PM you but your settings won't allow it. Me and another member here have received partial refunds due to the bike being incorrectly described as 2018 models. Pushy's initially offered for us to return the bike. If you want further details you can PM me.

  • I am assuming that the bike we’ll be unassemble like it’s mentioned on their own site.

    • Hey, hopefully your bike has arrived. What assembly was required? Just installing the handle bars seat post and front wheel?

For now you could just do an online bike fit to take your measurements to get an idea of ideal geometry

      • I am still waiting? And you?

        • Delivered 2nd but won't know til I'm back in Melbourne.

        • @jayel: Mone came today. Only the handle bars need installling. Their online store charges $99 to build so even more saving buying on eBay.

        • @Jake Elwood:

Good to know, sounds like their store assembly is a bit of a scam I'm reading most road bikes are 90% assembled from factory, so I'm not sure what they are charging for.

        • @Jake Elwood:
Is the bianchi type logo on your frame tubes in Celeste blue or gray? Mine is gray unlike the bike pictured (I know the picture has a disclaimer but the expectation is that this refers to the size variations available rather than colour scheme).

        • @jayel: Mine is Grey too.

        • @jayel: what do you notice on a sticker on the underside of the down tube?
Do you notice a date written in reverse order? Such as 2016 -08-01?

I just noticed it this morning. This date would seem to suggest that it’s not the 2018 model.

I already left positive feedback. So I am not sure how to progress from here.

        • @Jake Elwood:

Hey Jake, I've been in correspondence with them. PM me (as I don't seem to be able to PM you.

        • @jayel: I have attempted to pm you. My settings originally didn’t allow me.
Let me know if you get it.

Extra 12% off today with code 2017BANG, makes these bikes dirt cheap. I own several Bianchis, theyre fantastic, do it.

  • It wasn't the OP fault but originally on both Pushy's website and the eBay listing had stated the Bianchi Impulso was the 2018 model. This wasn't not the case. It was 2017.

Pushy offered to allow me to return the bike or take a partial refund. I took a partial refund ($70), in part because I had purchased other accessories that would be hard or impossible to return.
