Hi,all. Needing a navigator for next year,as I'm going to tafe. I'm not allowed to use Google Maps on my phone (I could lose my licence up to 3 months) budget is between $100-$150. No rush,I would just like to get it out of the way.
P (plater) needs a navigator..any recommendations?

Or a street directory for $15 that will last quite a few years. At least till the google maps are legal again for a new driver.
I have to go to a part of town I have never been before no more often that every few weeks, if that. Looking at a paper map isn't really a hardship.
maybe Aldi next week: https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-30-…
but as above says, they're all similar anyway.Maps included for one year only. Wouldn't it be better to spend extra for lifetime?
if you are pretty girl im sure a lot ozb male here will be happy to be your personal navigator.
Sexual misconduct!
Sadly for my inclinations, it is the ugly men always asking directions.
Maybe the pretty girls all find willing guides early in their journeys.Sexual misconduct!
How so?
Do they keep moving your tafe around?
Once you have found your way a few times using a map you’ll be fine. It’s how people managed before GPS navigation.
Was going to ask the exact question.
I don't think you'll forget the way to TAFE after the first day.
If you use a cheap old phone with no sim card in it, does that still count as a phone? If the phone is plugged into an android headunit and running android auto does that still count as well? I'm just wondering what about the phone per se differentiates it from the Garmin type navigation device if the ability to make phone calls on the handset itself is not possible?
To be quite honest,i really don't know. That's how the laws are in New South Wales for people on their P's. I guess it's basically like using a phone to make calls? Even though you are not.

They’re all the same anyway, just get any cheap and nasty unit with lifetime maps. Better to learn the roads so you don’t need to rely on your GPS
