Transferring Credit Card Points to Velocity with Different Name

Hi, I recently transferred CBA Amex point to a family member's velocity account.

Is there an issue with having a different name from the credit card account and the velocity account? And if so, is there any way to fix it

The points haven't shown up in the account yet and I'm worried all the points are lost now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Velocity will usually reject point transfers if the names do not match. Transfer to your velocity first and then you can transfer points to an eligible family member. You can to call CBA and ask them to check the status. Get them to cancel the transfer and redirect to your own Velocity account

    It wont work, points will be in limbo until you call them. I had the same issue. They moved the points back to cba account
