I’ve been looking to buy this laptop for a long time - it’s thin, lightweight but has a good processor and decent storage, which is perfect for a student. The only drawback is the kind of short battery life, and the price.
Right now, the cheapest configuration of this laptop is Core i7-7500U/16gb of RAM/256gb PCIe SSD (UX490UA-BE038R) for $1999 at Bing Lee. I don’t know if I should take the plunge and buy it now.
I do know that this item is also found on the Bing Lee Ebay store, so should I wait for a 20% sale on the Bing Lee Ebay store (which will bring the price down to roughly $1600)? The problem is, I need this laptop before school starts (1st of February I think) and I don’t know when (or if) Bing Lee will have a sale on their Ebay site.
Are there better pricing options elsewhere for this laptop? Or are there much better laptops for money?

Not too sure about the Zenbook, however something like a Dell XPS 13 should also be sufficient for school work. It will be $1439.20 in tomorrows sale with the code POWERUP. Although you only get 8GB of RAM, this does come with Intel's latest 8th gen quad-core cpu and has an excellent battery life.
