I dont have this phone, but I am pretty sure that two sims can be used simultaneously, where Sim 1 will be 4G and the other will be automatically shown as 3G only. So in your case, you could use your personal number as Sim 1 and work number as Sim 2. You can set defaults in the settings so that data will automatically use one sim and phone call/texts will use the other.
You do lose the micro SD card functionality. But there are adapters you can get off eBay for like $2 which allow you to have both dual sim and SD card installed. The adapter will easily hide inside a case. Again, I haven't used it, but there are quite a few youtube videos on it.
Cons - having two sims on standby will most likely drain battery a little more.
Pros - Being able to use two sims without constantly swapping them out?
I have this phone. you are entirely correct about the sim. Battery drain is neglectable if you have good signal. Much better battery than the dual sim S8
Read (past tense here) the description it says sim 1 as 3g or 4g and sim 2 is 2g only. Is that a typo?
@cactusndates: the description on most sites for the dual sim Note8 and S8/S8+ always seem to say the 2nd sim is 2g for some reason. Just do a google if you want to confirm from another source. I'm using mine with voda 4G , amaysim (optus) 3G.

For anyone interested in phone delivery times, my one arrived yesterday - exactly two weeks from date of purchase. (Delivered by DPEX/TOLL)
The phone came well bubble wrapped, and was placed inside an amaysim cloth bag, which also included travel adapter, warranty documentation and $2 Amaysim starter Kit Sim Card.
So the $2 sim included with this package had a promo code that says "activate & get 1 free renewal" expires 28 Feb 2018. Does this pretty much mean you get one month free on any unlimited plan?
Unfortunately I just took up the other amaysim cashrewards deal for $10 profit, so might not be able to use this one in time.
I think you are correct. It is giving you one month extra to the plan you choose. I'm planning to activate this sim for that cash rewards deal aswell.
oh wait I just read the T&C for the cash rewards offer, I think you have to use a new sim they send you. Not sure if you can use an existing sim card.

I was considering this phone as I currently have my work and personal mobile numbers. But wanted to put both sims in the one phone and would plan to make and receive calls via my work sim and use my personal sim for data.
Is that possible? And would I also lose the micro SD card position in doing this?
Any other pros or cons involved?
