Need an iPad 2017 Edition or 5th Gen Deal under $500

So my son is about to get into Secondary School so he needs a new iPad but he wants the iPad 2017 edition.

So can anyone please help me find a bargain for iPad 2017 32GB Wifi Only.

      Nowadays it seems to be a requirement that students have their own iPad. Not just any tablet, an iPad. I think they have required programs and their textbooks stored in it or something.

    $437 in store at Harvey Norman.
    Personally, I would wait until Boxing Day sales, since school doesn't go back for 5 weeks.
    I would also consider waiting and seeing if he still wants the same when school starts. He might find all the other kids have chromebooks or something.

    The 2017 32GB iPad variant usually goes for under $400 during sales, so you can certainly find it for under $500. Current deals according to Price Hipster suggest this is going for ~$440-50, which isn't that great tbh. The best deal I can see is for $414.20 Shipped from OW eBay with the code P5OZZIE. I'm sure someone can find a better deal, however a quick search shows this as a good option if you're in a hurry.

    Edit: Keep an eye out for the 15% off JB GC's deal, although I'm not sure if it will come back in stock. The iPad is currently $449 at JB, so with discounted GC's this can come down to a total of $382.50.
