Broke outer Technika oven door glass while trying fix handle D'oh!

Broke the outer glass while trying to fix the oven handle for our Technika oven. Going through what to do to repair and it seems Technika is closed. Apparently I can get a third party repair, which might be quicker but I would think more costly. What are my options? The glass front is connected to a metal facing and the a lower part, so think a replace is my only option. I don't have model numbers but am looking. I also still have the inner glass if that makes a difference and the handle.

    1) Don’t feel bad. Even with the extra cost to cover the blunder, you are still likely in front compared to calling in the repair man.
    2) is it cracked, and might be able to still be carefully used until you can source a cost effective fix, or shattered, so you need to fix it urgently?
    3) Have you looked on eBay and gumtree for second hand parts. Lots of people sell old appliance parts when the bit that is too costly to replace dies.
4)is there a part number etched, stickered or painted somewhere, likely on an inside surface? Googling this will often turn up that it is a universal part shared with ilve or similar.

    • Great suggestions… don't see anything etched at the moment. The entire door shattered in my hands, was not able to remove the door from hinges. Will give gumtree a go and have a further look for product numbers. Thanks!

      • Hi this just happened to me. How did you end up fixing it?
