Is it possible to get these unlock? Both with 3 but not working on Vodafone sim. :(

yep, you would need to contact 3 to get the unlock codes. if they were on a contract like what scrimshaw said it should be free although my parents managed to unlock a nokia x6 for free because they don't know how to use it and rather stay on the nokia 6288.
They said something along the lines of "I need to unlock my mobiles which are locked to 3 because I want to use them overseas and I don't want to use international roaming as it is too expensive." I was suprised that they sent the unlock codes for both of them (especially for the x6 as my parents only had it for 2 weeks, renewed contract) and my brother is currently using it on another provider.
I reckon that unlocking your mobile while still under contract (ie, postpaid) should be free since you still have to pay each month so I see no "loss in intellectual property".
These 2 are on prepaid.
Have you actually tried calling Three yet?
Just have to quote the IMEI number and possibly your name (if you were the buyer of these mobile phone, otherwise just quote the phone owner's name) and they will give you a unlock code.
I strongly doubt that they will charge you an unlock fee. These are pretty old mobile phones afterall, not even in sale anymore.
The 2730 isn't that old, perhaps a year+ or so. (Yes, I know that's forever in technology.) Optus still sells it. It's a decent basic 3G model.
But yes, I'm sure the overseas helpdesk will be happy to give you the code. The guy I got (not Three though) even talked me through the procedure.
If these were previously on a contract, just call up the Three and they will give you an unlock code for free.
