We all know these headphones by now, by the many reviews and previous posts.
No need to introduce them or explain further.

Best price I've come across since last good deals where posted. Enjoy

I doubt delivery by Xmas and i dont know how much stock they have.

Might be worth price matching elsewhere before price or stock ends ?

Yesterday I got JB HiFi to pricematch this, and then bought some of the 15% off vouchers here to pay for it: https://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/paypal-gift-cards?_trkparms=%26c…

Total was about $340 (with $4 left on one of the JB gift cards)

Been using the headphones all day. NEXT LEVEL. I'll never be able to go back to mid-range headphones haha.

    • $50 and $100 JB Hifi vouchers sold out :-(

I bought these last time from mobileciti. I don't really listen to music much, more for YouTube on my train trip and most importantly business phone calls.

The in call audio is abysmal. It's almost impossible to use it. It uses the mics to amplify the sound to yourself as well as to those on the other end of the line making it extremely noisy as it picks up all the surrounding noises. Imagine this on a train.

In quiet environments it seems to be OK but where there is background noise, my cheap $25 headset does much much much better.

My recommendation to all is to try this out in store.

If you are just using it for NC then these are hard to beat. Better NC than the equivalent Bose and much better sound as well.

The Bose are, however, on a different level when it comes to in call audio. There's simply no comparison, and considering my use case (business conf calls), these were a HUGE disappointment especially for almost $400.

    • This is interesting because I always thought the QC35 were the best from reviews but I started seeing a lot lately saying the NC on these were just as good but they also had much better sound quality. I've tried used QC35 plenty of times and they are one of the few headphones that are comfortable enough for me to wear over an extended period of time. Been wanting a chance to try a pair for a good while before I bought them as any $300+ purchase is a big decision for me. Really just wish someone would release an update one of these with Bluetooth 5.0 to make my decision for me but I know that's not gonna happen any time soon with the QC35s at least.

      • Wait for QC35 III. Adds Bluetooth 5.0 support.

        • Yeah but when will that be, 2019?

    • It is believed that the Sony's have the edge on music audio quality over the Bose, though. It all depends what you're after. I was torn between both for weeks. The Bose definitely are the most comfortable headphone around.

I paired my phone with the Sony and the Bose at JB, and did an A/B listening to music. They were both great, but the Sony had a slight edge over the Bose.

People always say the Bose has the edge on NC, however I think they're both as good as each other in this area, from my testing instore. I did read the Sony dealt with wind better than Bose in terms of NC.

Both are great and have individual strong points.

      • IMO

        Music/Audio - Sony (Noticeable)
        NC - Sony (Slight edge)
In Call Audio - Bose (substantial win)
        Comfort - Bose (Slight edge)

Bose is a better all rounder.

        • I hate the Bose brand, has an Apple vibe about it.

But I might have to go QC35ii due to it looking slightly more streamlined on the head?

        • @RtN: These are the things you consider when purchasing headphones?? Really?

        • @UponOccasion:

hahaha seriously, especially when the other things are close/similar. Aesthetics quite important. I don't want to look like the napster logo on the train!

    • The in call audio is abysmal. It's almost impossible to use it. It uses the mics to amplify the sound to yourself as well as to those on the other end of the line making it extremely noisy as it picks up all the surrounding noises.

Exactly what a close mate of mine said as well. The call quality bothered him so much that he returned them (after a week's use) in exchange for QC35 II.

    • Strange, never had any problems calling or receiving call from inside a busy shopping centre, clarity of the audio is great

  • Ah come on! Just bought 1 from HN for $428 last week (price match from addicted to audio). Could have asked HN to price match to $401 and I can maximise it with the AMEX deal and tax refund. :)

    • That's RRP dude, lol

      • Really? Damn. Oh well. After everything, it will cost me less than $300 so I can live with that.
