But now feel like damn tried and need a break, might book a flight to Asia, or even America? what do u guys think? anyone here had the same situation that in the past at last minute planing for a short break that can be shared? of course nothing huge to break my bank account "/"
Is It Too Late to Book a Holiday Now for Christmas?

Maybe check travel websites rather than asking here
I you just want a break, why blow all the cash on an overseas holiday?
Cheap options are camping inland near a river, or Snowy Mountains.
Or wait until the end of Jan if you don't have kids and get a beach house after school goes back. That sounds good but we have kids. They want go somewhere else to travel, since I asked.
I have taken the kids out of school every year since 2006 for a cheap holiday when I can get bargain flights.
Travelling during school holidays is for suckers :-)Mind you, this year our eldest is doing yr 12 so we are getting a riotously costly (for us) January beach house that we booked in last July.
We might go OS in December when her exams are done.

Just do something local - ask eddie bravo
Skyscanner is showing $850 minimum to fly overseas (NZ), you're paying a premium booking this late and in the busiest travelling period of the year
Just go down the coast and find a motel to stay at. Just chillax at the beach or near a freshwater lake.
Guess it depends how badly you need this holiday!
It's not just the airfare. The accommodation will kill you too! It'll be much cheaper if you can wait a month or two after the school holidays are over.
yes.
Why don't you look on sky scanner etc??
You may have left it a bit late as you know.
I had a (very) quick look at Googleflights and Skyscanner for you.Mel-Denpasar (Bali) at $832 return 23-28Dec is the cheapest I could find.
Whatever you decide, be safe, be happy 😊
That sounds good, cheers
+1 for a road trip in Oz. Surely much better value at this time of year.
Or a hop over to Tassie might be good. It is overseas in a way.
