  • uh that's not the cheapest
it's $3.34 cheaper at Dick Smith and yes delivery included.

    Dick Smith: $73.15
    Your price: $76.49

Also I'm pretty sure that delivery from DS is faster than your track history with deliveries.

      • And for some reason they also have it listed here: http://dicksmith.com.au//product/YG7372/ps3-gran-turismo-5-g… for $99.94

      • There's a 5% off coupon here on OzBargain for Dick Smith.
So it's actually $74.10 from DS (thought it was $77) still cheaper there. And sorry if I didn't make it clear that a coupon was used for Dick Smith.

        • OK thanks for clarifying :-)

        • +2

It's also $77 from Harvey Norman so for 51 cents more you can walk into a store and have it straight away and not wait for your notoriously well known delivery times. Not to mention have the box in good condition unlike the crushed box SC2 came in when I bought it from you guys.

    • Hmmm, DSE appears to be $78.00. Are you using a code?

  • -1

Only $50 just THREE Posts below this one. Hardly the 'cheapest available'.

    • +1

Sure - with a receipt scan. Not an official price so try your luck :-)

      • Hmm true. But still 62ish + shipping rom zaavi probs cheaper.

        • And $53ish inc shipping from DVD.CO.UK

  • Needs to be cheaper for this to be special.

    • +6

OK guys… First post so I will make sure its an even better deal before I post again. :-) Thanks for the feedback.

  • -2

then why isn't it being negged then!

    love the icon btw rep

but honestly if its not a bargain - then its should not be here

    jbhifi $77 ps3 std edition

and I welcome the tasty deals - bring it :)

    • +1

Well if you took the Dick Smith coupon out of the equation it would be the cheapest available.
Besides completely obliterating a rep's first post might discourage him/her to come back and rectify his/her mistake and give us something that's truely awesome. As noface has promised. I believe it's an honest mistake by the rep trying to offer the best available price, that's why I haven't negged, thought about it thought but I sense OB has started to become this very negative and hostile place.

    • +1

Not worth a negative over 50 cents. It was a good first attempt at being price competive. Close but no cigar I guess.

Edit: I also refuse to neg anyone with a Ghostbusters icon. :D

  • +2

well if i can get my post obliterated for actually supplying a legitimate deal (because people don't want others to see it)

I am going to apply them properly here imho

I explained why the neg, and I think its valid

If a merchant comes offer a bargain it should be, end of story.

Or ozbargain gets flooded with rubbish (an I am not sure it isn't)

I think the OP should be happy he got immediate and valuable feedback from posters.

Often business pay heaps for useful data.

And should he come back, all the better!

I think his first effort should be congratulated, but its a competitive place out there!

I am not getting into nice and not nice here - its not a bargain - end of story!

edit : although yes the icon is full of win!

    • You're well and truely right to use the neg button. but I find it a bit over the top in this case.
And I'm sensing some of that negative vibes on OB again…. just because your post got ripped to shreds doesn't mean you have the right to do it to others. Your post got ripped to shreds for legit reasons as well, and deserved to be pulled down so that the hard work of those who figured out the "loophole" don't go to waste and abused by others for 2 seconds before they can use the deal themselves.
Being 50 cents more expensive than the competition doesn't warrant a negative vote IMHO and simply not voting and reporting the post is enough.

We need to find a way to bring OB back to what it used to be 2 years ago when I first found out about this site.

    • hey another poet

  • -1

Why even post this when three "bargain's" down you can find a price match receipt and get this game for $50 bucks?!?

    • It's not a guaranteed $50.

  • well trance it seems we can agree on bring OB back to its former glory.

I would still neg this deal regardless of my post treatment.

And I figured the other deal I posted myself, so its my hard work!!- I was actually looking at games so I could get EB to price match on the Ipod trade in.

and I negged it because its far easier to shop instore, better issues with returns and its almost as cheap without assuming ozbargainers have gift cards for the store

which is possible as JB seems to offer deals involving cards all the time

and all that is aside from the price matching at other places too that might be closer than JB for the punters

so yes I neg, and its for a good reason!

feel free to check my voting patterns, nothing has changed I am just vocal in my opinions ;P

  • It's a shame the deal at Base.com got overlooked on here, only 5-6 pos votes, it was only $53 delivered there.

    • People want to play games now, not 2-3 weeks down the track.

      • +1

SOME people want to play games now, SOME want to save money - this IS Ozbargain after all.

  • +1

wish i have time to play this game… :(

    JB $77

  • +1

    BigW $77.84

  • -2

    Great Deal……not

    • +1

      Great neg vote, not!

    • Although it's clear to alot of people here - a reason for your neg is needed.

  • Rep: put the price in the title. I only care about the end price, not whatever percentage cheaper than the irrelevant RRP it is.

  • Needs the price in the Title… very misleading!

    Rip-off
