I have bought an dsi from ebay from an australian distributer.
    No problems.
He probably gets them from a chinese distributer…
If it wasn't so close to xmas I would say buy 1 and see.
Generally best not to buy from the reseller with absolute cheapest price..
Also watch out for ones offering you games, they are roms to be used with the R4cards etc.
    Some people may appreciate them…:)

  • imo buy from a US online site, like

    http://video-games.pricegrabber.com/nintendo-ds-console-acce…

and hope they do international shipping

or free shipping to a post box and get it mail forwarded to AUS

  • May I suggest gumtree.com.au
There seems to be more genuine sellers where you can find bargains sometimes.
I actually trust local sellers more than ebay sellers.
Had gotten a fake PSP before from ebay, delivered from Shen Zheng =(

  • thanks for the suggestions guys:) I went into target yesterday to see about the bundled dsi's deal ($199 with mario kart) but they had no stock left. Dropped into eb games they were $248 and come with nintendo dogs and mario kart the guy also mentioned that if you trade games in atm you get an extra 50% so that might be an option as I have a few xbox 360 games lying around.

    • With EB you could do with price match too!
You can show Target's ad and ask if EB willing to honor that bundle with the same price.

  • kmart has $199 bundles available

  • Join Game's reward thing,
Price match the 3 consoles at Game (earn the required points for $25.50 reward voucher), wait a month get the voucher buy games? (can't sell the reward vouchers since they're tied to your reward card). Or buy 1500 Xbox live poitns with it for $25 and flog it on ebay, you'd get about $22 after fees and all that are deducted.

    • says in the fine print that rewards are only offered against software and accessory purchases so guess that would rule out consoles.

      • ah so that's how they covered their asses. was wondering what happens if someone bought consoles with the card, leads them to half to 3/4 of the required points

  • after a bit of running around today I now have 3 dsi's:) had some trouble finding a pink unit but ended up getting one at kmart with mario kart for $199 then picked up a black and a blue one at harvey norman for $177ea without any games or accessories. happy!

    • Is $177 Harvey Norman's normal price or you have to bargain for it?

like I said there was a bit of running around went to eb games and they had a pack with nintendo dogs and mario kart for $248 said to the guy that I wanted to buy 3 but without games he came back with $178 but they didn't have any pink left. Then I went to harvey norman and asked what they could do and the guy said $177 but they didn't have the pink either so went to kmart got the pink bundle then went back to hn and picked up a black and a blue. Too easy:)

        • Good price you got there =)
          Gratz~
All the running around is definitely paid off!

If anybody is of interest of R4 ds cards, you can visit to www.r4-ds-au.com

    • Wow you sure do have a lot of fake R4s (imitate products)
The original R4 looks like so, the rest are spin offs and do becareful about them! (http://www.r4ds.me/)

Personally I started with R4, but ended up buying AceKard, DSTT, R4i and finally setting with my favourite M3 Real and M3i Zero.

  • Someone posted yesterday or the day before that target had dsi for $99 on clearance.

  • Oops, didn't realise this was so old. Looks like the post from r4 was just to advertise their store.
