    Why would you only want one half of the controller? Are there 3 player games? (Genuinely curious)

      Well, I bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today, and it supports using half of a controller as a player, so you could play 3 player Mario Kart with 3 controllers, but I agree, it's impractical to have a half controller. I suppose it's for if you happen to lose a joy-con.

      Pretty sure it's for if one breaks.

      Also in the long run I hope they stop releasing sets of 2 colours and just release all colors in both left and right options so you can have any combination you like.

      Of course at the moment 2 separates cost more than a pair.

      Same, I love clear shells but after seeing videos of the process of having to disassemble the controllers and be extremely precise, I decided to not go with it in case the Joy-con breaks. :/

    I have a Nintendo Switch and love the console but I'll never be able to get over the fact they're called joy-cons. A customer told me that he thinks of a happy criminal whenever he hears the term. Curse him. Now I do too.

    thanks for flagging this deal!!! i just bought the matching pair along with a preowned mario kart. my local store didn't have the right-hand controller so i thought the extra four bucks was worth the immediate gratification… tonight will be a kartfest :D
