  • Wish I could buy from Amazon USA with Paypal :(

    • +1

Have you tried setting up a US PayPal account?

      • I'm 98% sure Amazon doesn't accept Paypal at ALL (My account is so old, it was before they had regions on the account)

There was a company, that let you buy Amazon credit with Paypal but they stopped about a year back.

Has been this cheap on and off for the last 2 months now on Amazon. Definitely worth grabbing, as PSN+ prices rose recently in the US.

  • Can this be used on Australian PSN accounts?

    • +2

you can create a US account on your PS4, and as long as there is one active PS PLus subscription on the ps4, it will work for all accounts

    • +2

No, it can only be redeemed on a US account.

However, if you have a US and AU account on the same PS4, PS+ online functionality will be shared across both accounts. All the other PS+ benefits (free games, discounted games etc) will only be available on the US account, but once purchased/redeemed can be played on both accounts. :)

      • That's great, thanks guys.

  • Is this worth it for someone who just plays single player games? I use my PC for online stuff.

    • Check the monthly free games, but probably not. Unless you like Indies.

    • Much like yourself, I only play single player games and very occasionally online twin stick shooters (Helldivers). The only other benefits of PS Plus are the free games and exclusive discounts during sales. The free games have been increasingly lacklustre over the past 6 months due to a lack of third party support and Sony trying to retain its AAA games for PS Now (game streaming subscription). The only saving grace for PS Plus is now the deep discounts that only apply for subscribers. They are usually double what non-subscribers will receive so instead of 40% off, you might get 80% off the RRP of a digital game.

    • What @ scuderiarmani said, mainly free indie games each month and a few AAA games here and there

  • Do you need a US VPN to use the account?
And to buy from Amazon I guess you need to pay with Amazon gift cards. Where do you buy it?

    • no you just use your cc

    • No, you don't need a VPN to use your US account on your PS4.

You can buy this on Amazon using your credit card, you just need to specify a US 'delivery' address.

Mine is a random hotel in Salem (Oregon) that doesn't attract US sales tax. ;)

  • there is a tax of approximately 3.55, which brings it up to ~43.50 USD.

    • +1

Pick a non tax US state.

  • Been curious, the free games, does it start from your membership date or do you get the backlog from the previous months that you weren't a member?

    • +1

Just like a normal purchase, you need to add PS Plus free games to your cart then confirm the $0 purchase. The games will then appear in your collection and will have the option to download to your machine. As such, you won't get the backlog of games from prior months. Games are also only accessible whilst your PS Plus subscription is active.

  • Anyone knows, if I installed the game on my AU account and activated a DLC code, will I have access to it from my US account? DLC is for multiplayer and I dont have a psn plus on AU account. But will I be able to access it from the US account?

    • Dlc is region specific unfortunately.

Unless you mean can you play the AU game online if you have the US ps+?
Should be ok as long as the AU account is set as the main profile.

    • Yes, it will be available on your US account. But you don't even need to do that. Once you set your PS4 as your primary for your US account that has the US PS+, your AU account can play online.

  • OK, just purchased… Which one should I setup as primary? US or AU?
Sorry, should probably ask what to do next - how to link the 2 accounts (AU and US) on the same PS4

  • Is this subscription a digital code which gets emailed once purchased i.e. nothing physical gets shipped?

  • Will this be accepted in Australia and do I have to change my region settings on amazon

  • Can't seem to order as it detects my Amazon account us outside US.

  • Think this is expired. Camel shows price has gone up and so does site.
