As a result of this year's "Secret Santa", I have to buy a present for an overseas relative, who as a middle-aged man pretty much has everything he needs.
Given that he is a BBQ man and generally interested in food, I figured that a gift pack of Australian native spices and BBQ rubs etc would be ideal as it is light, transportable and something he would never have seen.
There are many interesting and suitable products available online, but we fly out at the end of the week and so it is too late for most online places, meaning that I have to find somewhere local to actually physically pick it up.
I have Googled for quite a while, but without success. However this is the sort of thing that would be for sale in smaller places (like shops attached to wineries, or quirky gift shops etc) that would not have a full web presence.
Hence the question: does anyone here know of a suitable retail outlet in Perth for gift packs of native Australian spices / BBQ rubs?
You could try Simon Johnson in Subiaco if you don't mind a trip to a ghost town.
If not, I would try somewhere like Fresh Provisions in Bicton or Kakulas Sister in Freo.
