rip, but yeah still good price
I just bought this one for $199 @ JB hifi three days ago.
Nice keyboard!
There are better mech keyboards for the price, make sure you do your research before you buy.
DON'T get sucked into the 'gamer'/'premium' marketing folks.
But u can never have same lights, Mech kb with these light at this price, it is amazing. If you dun need these lights u can go Filco cherry w/e.
Curious what you would consider better?
my K65 is one solid keyboard.
Are you saying better value or better all rounder? As you don't have a number pad I'm k65 which is a huge deal breaker for a lot of people.
I know I prefer tkl keyboards like the k65.
Both.
There expensive but they are worth it.
Can I get an answer for both? I was going to buy a G610, but I want to be sure.
@leetguy101: value I wouldn't go corsair, a G610 would be good, I was looking at them too and for non RGB it is very affordable.
I have a k95 red switch, needed a num pad, wanted G macro keys for Adobe workflow and liked the "floating key" look of the corsair range so happy to pay the premium.
Selling it now as bought one of these on JB sale in brown switches as love the keyboard but not a huge fan of Red's after 2 years.
Picked up one of these during the JB Hifi Sale.. Upgraded from Razer greens and I feel they are much better. The lights are pretty cool but I'm not into that kinda stuff. I've just got it set to Static.. LOL.. The music controls are pretty good though and marcos keys are not useful for me. I do feel the most of would of paid is the JB price for any keyboard. If I could of got a K70 Lux MX Silent at $150 or lower I would of preferred that. This keyboard feels premium and so does the price!
Or you could… You know…. Git gud
Which switch is better for gaming ? Brown or speed?
Honestly, it it which ever one you prefer. Try them out in store. I prefer browns for the bump without the click sound.
Speed has a slightly smaller activate range, but I doubt it makes a difference.
I always tempted to get blue.
If theres someone who gave me a hard time in the office
I owned both of them.
I was frustrated with the speed as its very sensitive and you tend to make a typo with it.
I think you better get brown as its versatile (gaming and typing) and not as loud as blue
I bought a K95 last year and it feels great, probably best I've owned. I got browns, which don't have the loud click, but still make a bit of a loud 'tap' sound when the key hits the bottom, but a $2 pack of rubber o-ring key dampeners from eBay fixed that right up and now it's perfect.
But man, that Corsair software is bloody terrible. It feels like it's been cobbled together from 20 older versions, but rather than improving features, it's got legacy features, basic modes, advanced modes, static modes, animated modes, etc. and none of them are compatible with each other. Say what you want about Logitech keyboards, but their software is way easier to use.
I had one of the first (tramp stamp logo) K95 browns and recently switched to a Ducky cause Corsair software was beyond temperamental for me.
Also yes, O rings are a big plus for me too
I've got an OG K95 and I have to agree on your point about the software. Most of the functions are there but you have to mess around a fair bit to get them working correctly.
It was $40 cheaper 2 days ago from JB.
