Solved! Help Me ID a Blurry Logo from a Stolen Parcel!

I'm hoping to draw on OzB's collective knowledge to help me ID a parcel that was stolen from my front porch last week.

The Australia Post contractor 'safe dropped' them in a spot clearly visible from the street, which has high pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

I only know this as one of the items was on online order which I was notified as being 'delivered' but wasn't there when I arrived home. Unfortunately, my Arlo security camera was out of battery and didn't catch the thief… Australia post sent me a terribly blurry picture the contractor took of the parcel. Turns out there was two parcels, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the second one was. I'm not missing any online orders, but I do regularly enter competitions.

I'm taking it up with Australia Post, but thought I'd check whether any of the OzBargain members have an idea of who it could be from. It was approx 50cm high, had a white round logo on on one side and small black pictures on the end.

Thanks!!

Sorry can’t help you. Logo seems to be an image of something.
It’s very blurry.. can’t believe in this day & age the quality is so bad.

Here’s a tip wth the Arlo cameras for future - setup an IFTTT recipe which alerts when the batteries are low. I managed to find one prebuilt which has helped me in the past.

Hope you can find out what went missing!

    • Thanks! I will do that. We just got slack as the batteries are rechargeable ones but don't last long. Also need to fix the positioning of the camera as the street car traffic sometimes sets it off, and the kangaroo paws in the garden bed near it!

  • you sure it's not wine ?

    • We haven't ordered any, and can't remember entering a competition for any. The box orientation seems off or wine - I think it would have been laying on the longest side to keep it upright (but I guess you never know with Aust Post). Can you tell I've been thinking about this for hours? :P

  • Could it be something from youfoodz or some other grocery items?

    • Thanks :) It's not YouFoodz - we order that each week and we aren't missing any.

One of the images on the side looks a bit like a sauce or frypan, or a hairbrush to me, so could be on the right track with grocery items!

Have you entered any competitions regarding cookware recently? Wouldn't they notify you before sending a box?

    • I can't recall - I may have :) I've tried googling my name with no success, and looking through here and Lottos to see what i have entered :)

Not necessarily - I've been entering comps for many years and have had a few very expensive prizes turn up without a phone call or email (e.g $1000 of makeup!).

It's about the size of a small microwave or large crockpot, but I think there are two words below the logo and I am guessing the 2nd may be Technology, which a thief would consider encouraging.

Something concerning pets or pet food?

    • I thought that too… Could be! I have two dogs and enter competitions for pet things. Haven't ordered any pet food lately.

Someone will recognise the box… in time:

The top of the box may be against the wall (no visible sign of address label on the sides we see).

I’ve figured it out! Thanks for all your tips.

I won a prize on instagram which I thought was A single toilet roll from the brand Pure Planet and $150 goodies from another brand.

I thought it was all being shipped together and had received a notification on 4 December it was posted (after this was stolen so didn’t think it could be the loo roll!), but looks like it was shipped separately. And it wasn’t a single toilet roll but a box of them! What a sh***y thing for someone to do.

Good. That shows how wrong I was. May the thief's hands rot painfully.

Lol they flog a parcel thinking it's important and end up with toilet paper 😂😂

What if he develops a rash on his behinds?
Public scratchings are a sight to behold

      • You could say he was a really crappy thief

        • Now now, enough with the toilet humour

Would love to have seen the thief’s face when he opened that parcel. Fortunately we really have nowhere a courier can drop off a parcel so we don’t have this problem now, lost a couple of things in the past though. I think the courier doing this is being negligent.

    • I don't see how making tissues from Penguins instead of trees solves anything…
