Perth cheap wheel bearing replacement?

Hi guys

I've come to learn this morning that I may need to have one of my front or rear wheel bearings replaced, sooner rather than later. I drive a 2001 Toyota Corolla and the local Auto Masters quoted me $450-$500 to replace the one bearing. This seemed a little steep to me, based on what I've read online.

Is it reasonable to expect somewhere else could provide the service for less? Any advice on where I should approach for a cheaper rate would be much appreciated.

    try get a quote from lubemobile / or other workshop specialize in wheel bearing

    est. wheel bearing under $100 + 2 hr labours , so close to $300 would be my rough guess

    Try Warrens Tyres and Brakes Service in Morley http://warrenstyresandbrakes.com.au/

    I haven't used them for wheel bearing replacement but very happy with them and their price for new tyres and a wheel alignment.

    So which one is it? Front or Rear? I'd guess that front would be more expensive due to drive shafts that aren't on the back.
