Does this look legit?

Cheapest I can find atm. Would the Samsung 5 Year warranty still apply to this one?

Why wouldn't it be legit?, looks perfectly fine though it has been cheaper with 20% ebay before $311.2 however this looks a great deal, possibly the best deal atm how much does it come to with postage.

It doesn't mention anything about the place/country of purchase on Samsungs Warranty info so I am guessing you should be good to go with 5 year warranty. Unlike their Phones which have regional variants and differences in warranty conditions in each case, this isn't really the case with SSD's which have a global model.

    • You are looking at the wrong Samsung site. This is Samsung Australia Warranty Info

For SSD, these are the applicable terms.

For the purpose of this Warranty, a "Samsung product" is a product which:
• was manufactured by or on behalf of Samsung; and
• bears a trade mark owned or used by Samsung (generally "SAMSUNG"); and
• was sold by an Authorised Reseller or Distributor of Samsung; and
      • was purchased in Australia,

Kogan is directly importing this SSD from HK. "This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan HK Limited pursuant to the Terms and Conditions."

      11.1
Each Kogan HK Product sold on the Website is covered by a 12 Month Standard Care Warranty.

Same info when you click Direct Import International Model More Info.

Do direct import products come with a warranty?

Of course! All direct import products are backed by a 1 Year Standard Care Warranty for total shopping confidence and peace of mind.

You are giving up 4 years of warranty coverage for a lower price.

However, user "O O" had reported that his Samsung SSD sold by Kogan HK eBay comes with an Australian warranty card, so YMMV.

  • Thanks for that clint-008, my concern was that I had missed something in the fine print, as they have what should be an identical model for $121 more:

  • You can get Samsung 960's way cheaper then $349.

Though firstly Samsung does not do the 960 Evo in 512GB allocations. Instead its a 500GB.

Here are just a few that i found insanely cheap (damn it just realised they were the 250GBs) - here are the 500GB ones:
