It disgusting, don't buy it, too sweet, overpowering fake cinnamon taste.
True that. My kids rejected it and they usually like it sweet.
fake cinnamon taste? which one, all of them? There are three varieties. I love the antioxidants plus.
I can't agree more. It is too sweet, really unhealthy to eat too much.
Flavours are very hit and miss.
I can't stand the muesli flakes option now they have changed the recipe, they go soggy and now just taste like mush.
I think the green box (I lol at the 'fibre' claim) is alright from memory, have to stock up on some more :D
What's everyone's favourite variety?
Some are good. Some are not.
If it's on sale - FYI I've moved on to their Bircher muesli. Love the purple one. Now there's a new green one and I love that one way more. Don't try the others though, they're horrid.
This price fairly often, but good value.
I've noticed this cereal gets soggy very quickly, may be a disadvantage to some.
There are 7 varieties here. Muesli Flakes, Antioxidant, Calcium, Fibre, Omega 3, Protein, Iron. Each with different ingredients.
I've enjoyed these muesli flakes since it used to be in a black box, back before it was moved into their Plus range. The recipe has changed a bit over the years, not always for the better. i also agree with @pennypincher98, the current recipe tends to go soggy faster than it used to, but its still a cheap snack and my favorite snacking cereal.
Thanks for posting OP, I'll be buying a few boxes to keep in my drawer at work for when I need a snack or am too busy to pop out and grab lunch.
Plus Calcium is my daily flavour.
I used to eat this stuff thinking it was a "healthy" option… it's not.
What would be considered a healthy option?
Look at ingredients. Avoid anything with added sugar and fat.
Note that I said added. Yogurts, fruit etc don't have added sugar or fat.
There are a lot things i found with sugar added: Doritos, meat pies, sultana bran to name a few.
I eat bread with butter and pure peanut butter plus juice drinks with pulp.
Simple answer should be weetbixes
Oats, my good man.
Bacon and eggs.
The biggest problem in Australia is overeating refined carbohydrates so starting off your day with a big bowl or two of refined carbohydrates is just dumb mostly because a few hours later you will feel hungry again.
Love the Protein one, the clusters however can be little teeth breakers. Great price and my last stash is getting low from the previous half price sale.
How do you manage to have a stash when they taste so freakin' good!
Uncle Tobys Plus With Iron is my favourite. Cashews and clusters.
If you're in pre diabetes stage..ie: HbA1C over 6. Then breakfast cereals and any form of refined carbohydrate is an enemy to your health. Switch to real food. Anything thats in a box or a packed is generally harmful to your health. (if you have a predisposition for diabetes)
Good to see more and more people now care their health.
EXCELLENT am down to my last couple of boxes from last time round
