may be I need to look for other shop
Yeah, I don't know how competitive the pricing is tbh, but the missus enjoys it.
I like the Tetley Chai Latte Classic sachets - on special at Coles this week - 8 pack $4.79
I've been looking for the perfect Chai myself but haven't found it or bothered forking out to find out.
When I was in India my unsophisticated taste buds, maybe sick of being sick, actually favoured the Elaichi (Cardamom) Tea that came out of automatic dispensers at train stations more than the homemade stuff. I don't remember if it was Lipton or Tetley but I think the recipes are different for different regions anyway.
A lot of tea packets from India say cardamom flavour rather than ground cardamom, which is apparently a solvent extraction of cardamom seeds. Since I liked their machine stuff perhaps I even prefer it?
You'll also find a lot of teas in Australia are dominated by cinnamon and may not even have other spices for all we know. I think Arkadia (which I haven't tried) didn't even list a single spice! But once you add sugar to milk you pretty much can use any flavour to make a delicious hot beverage (cinnamon, malt etc).
Just noticed this one :
https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-national/product/lipton-chai-l…Thanks.
According to pricehipster it was on sale for $5 a few weeks ago so it might be worth trialing the Tetley one that barbarella mentioned above and waiting for the next special.
Like Arkadia, Lipton only lists "flavours" in the official ingredients list (http://www.lipton.com.au/product/detail/682106/chai-latte-te…), despite naming cinnamon, cardamom and ginger in the marketing. It might be the taste I'm looking for though.
Believe it or not, I had a complimentary chai from the "Lipton Chai Lodge" at the Bondi Winter Festival 6 years ago (https://au.be.yahoo.com/food/recipes/a/9758720/the-alpine-wi…). I don't know if it's still the same recipe but I remember thinking it was pretty good (but I'm pretty easy).
Have you found any?

Personally not a fan of Chai, but the wife loves it. A local coffee roaster has a really nice one apparently: https://bostonbean.com.au/shop/chocolate-chai/masala-spiced-…
