I reached out to the AstiVita representative today after their first Amazon AU deal post and negotiated a few other better deals for us.

Initially I was just hoping for a good deal on a 7kg dryer, but they responded with the following big discounts and threw in free shipping to both Sydney or Brisbane to boot.

Beats the equivalent Appliances Online dryer I was looking at by $87!

    That's very cheap for a 7kg dryer.

Who or what is an AstiVita? Any reviews? No sign of them on the US Amazon site…

They were search before Google were on the scene.. oh hang on, that's AltaVista :D

    • They're based out of Brisbane and they import from China.

Their quality went down hill with their tapware, but we can't say what their other items are like.

It was one of Arnie's catchphrases in Terminator 2..

    • Not sure, but they seem to be turning prices on their head.

Or is that just the labels on the dryer?

    Wow cheaper then aldi!
    $699 delivered fot a 2HP aircon.
    damn!

Not sure it includes the outdoor bit as part of the price, so only the head unit? Going off weight being 15kg.

      • Hi,
It includes both the indoor and outdoor unit!

    • The Aldi offering is Inverter Control. What was it’s heating/cooling capacity?

  • Given the install costs on a split systems, I'm inclined to stick with a reputable name brand unit. A very cheap price and great find OP!

The washer could be worth a go.

  • Dont think these Aircons are Inverter type, so would be rather expensive to run.

  • Says $75 delivery for me to Gold Coast ( for the air con)

Is that much of a deal when Bunnings sells akai 2.6kw ones for $500

Stupid as has no specs for the aircons. Just cheap imported crap with no info to make an informed decision.

My Specs are 6 Star Cooling 5 Star heating. I would never buy an Inefficient Aircon.

  • +3

I can't find any efficiency stats, sound levels about the air con so not interested. I'm looking for an extra quiet one that can be left on low whilst trying to sleep.
