Anyone Else Have The Issue Where Comments Appear Grey? (PEBKAC)

Often when reading through threads a comment appears grey (just like when downvoted) but then I realise it is not downvoted and it's actually black.

Anyone else get this? Or do I have an eye issue?

No issue on my side (and I use 3 different browsers, Chrome, Edge and Cyberfox)

If your browser has a safe mode (disables plugins and extensions) try enabling Safe mode and try again. If you don't have a safe mode or don't know how, try a different browser with stock settings (no adblock, Greasemonkey or Stylish scripts).

I've experienced the same but it's an eye issue. When looking at black text and then white areas, text can sometimes appear grey. There are some neat optical illusions that do the same.

Example. The grey bar in the middle is actually one constant colour. The Independent and here

  That thing was so trippy, but eventually I managed to see both colours at will.

  The dice block with A and B look like dark grey and bright white colour to me. Covering up the entire image except those small portions reveals they are exactly the same. Again, trippy.
