I bought into destiny on release, the first one. Played the hell out of it trying to find some semblance of a game if paid $70 for, or the game that was promised at e3. It was such an empty and hollow feelingg game.

Then before addressing any fixes for the game, bjngie announces an expansion. Almost at the price of a full retail game. I was so annoyed.

They are doing almost the same thing with destiny 2.

  • yeah over $50 for an xpack, i stopped playing after seeing that.

Destiny is a like an abusive relationship, they keep promising "it'll get better" but like EA they never learn. Wait for the GOTY edition and then it's a very fun game with actual content

  • Problem is, D1 was fantastic by the time Rise of Iron was released, and everyone expected a game as deep as it was when D2 dropped.

Sadly, D2 vanilla was as hollow as D1 vanilla, and the changes to the weapons system as well as the introduction of the token reward system was the last straw.

It’s a shame that it looks like history repeating that we may have to wait for a couple of DLCs to get a fully fledged game.
