    These RRPs are the most expensive I've seen almost any of these beers sold.

    $28.50 for Speedway Stout is absolute robbery (http://www.purvisbeer.com.au/beer/AleSmith-Speedway-Imperial…), $9.65 for 3 Ravens Juicy is more expensive than the Extra Juicy normally retails for. Even with 25% off, still poorly priced.

    • Sorry we couldn't help you backsideslappy. With over 500 beers on the site, I'm sure there are some that don't hit the mark. Hopefully we can find a deal that works for you next time.

      Cheers

        Sorry we couldn't help you

        No need to apologise.

        Just post some bargains… ie. something that is cheaper than all the other stores.

        You are selling stock for 30% more than RRP plus shipping - the issue isn't your stock, it's your business model.

    $99 for 16 beers… It's not even a slab… wow !!!

    and then you have to pay postage on top…

    • Appreciate it may not be for you jv. No dramas at all. Just so you know though, shipping is included in all our pre mixed cases. Hope we can find something you like next time.

      Cheers

        Beer is for me, but this is a bargain website.

        I want to see prices that are the cheapest

        • No worries. there are some great bargains to be had. With 500 products on the site, there are some steals in there!

          Cheers

          Please post the 'great bargains to be had' … I can't find any.

    Why sell a case as 16? Why make it more confusing then it has to be.

    • swimmingtoad the breweries love packing a lot of their cases these days. I get that it's not a trend we all love!

      Cheers

    This isn't really a bargain in cooee on this site and there are only 11 breweries according to their drop down menu.

    I'm in regional NSW 900k's from Sydney and 250k's from Brisbane and yet my local IGA supermarket has a better selection of boutique IPA's(according to the OP's website)and Balter's XPA for instance is $6.60 a can at the OP's site and $5 a can at my IGA.

    I selected from the drop down menu and clicked on IPA.

    I got this: No products were found matching your selection.

    Eh?

      The last time they posted a deal and I made a comment about this when I was searching for a type of beer and found zero results and was told I was doing it wrong. Guess they still haven't fixed it (or their prices!)

    • Thanks for the feedback Luc. If you apply the discount to a case of the Balter in particular you'll actually bet the can price down to $3.5 a can. Sorry we can't find something that works for you.

      Cheers

    Is this allowed to be negged?

    • Well I just did and I think it's my first neg vote for a topic. It's not done lightly but really i've tried to see the bargain in this topic but I honestly can't.

  • +3

    Sorry, I went through several breweries and compared your prices to those offered at Dan Murphy's and couldn't find any prices that beat theirs. This is not a bargain. Brutal, but fair neg.

    • iMagoo sorry you're not happy with the prices. Balter, Pirate Life and Feral all cheaper than Dan's (plus a whole heap of the smaller breweries). Make sure you apply the discount to ensure you're looking at the right price. Apologies if there's nothing we can help you with this time.

      Cheers

        Sigh.

        Feral White Ale:
        Your price: ($69.25*0.75)+$9.95 = $61.88 for 16 => $3.86 / bottle
        Dan's price: $71.99 for 24 => $2.99 / bottle

        Pirate Life IPA:
        Your price: ($71.75*0.75)+$9.95 = $63.76 for 16 => $3.98 / tin
        Dan's price: $94.99 for 24 => $3.95 / tin

        Now let me preempt your argument of "for 16 bottles/tins of beer our price is better than Dan's" by saying: don't even bother.

        Pirate Life IIPA:
        Your price: ($180.55*0.75)+$9.95 = $145.36 for 16 => $9.08 / tin
        Dan's price: $139.99 for 16 => $8.74 / tin

        I understand you're a smaller business going up against the big guys, but this website is for advertising of bargains, not just roughly competitive prices at some arbitrary quantity. Apologies, but my neg still stands. Feel free to give us something tantalising to upvote :)

        edit: For a truly fair comparison I should include the cost of delivery for Dan's, but I can't be arsed.

    I agree with everyone else. There are precisely zero bargains here. Even with the discount, Dan Murphys is by far the choice for me. This site is for bargains. This post does not belong on this site

    • s881628 sorry you're not happy with the prices. Balter, Pirate Life and Feral all cheaper than Dan's (plus a whole heap of the smaller breweries). Make sure you apply the discount to ensure you're looking at the right price. Apologies if there's nothing we can help you with this time.

      • I guess that's the problem. Feral White is $5.29 per bottle at Dan's and you have it for $6.05, so sure with the 25% off you are cheaper (at $4.53), but since you were more expensive in the first place, the discount in real terms is about 15% which barely covers the postage.

        I doubt there is enough margin in craft beer for you to ever discount it enough to make OzBargin happy

          The problem is them at all stocking ANYTHING that Dan Murphy. Just stick to the niche lines. I mean even Feral do plenty that no major store carries like Boris, or their limited like the F15 (a damn fine stout).

          If you look outside of the Dan Murphy lines there are some reasonable buys at 25% off. I agree the speedway stout is overpriced for the can at full price, but discounted, no. They also gave Purvis as the competition example. Purvis are rubbish for delivery. Utter rubbish. They just ship via the post office so you are looking at $35 a carton, and it takes over a week to Brisbane. And my order had a broken bottle so had to get returned. It ended up taking 4weeks all up and I was short a bottle. CC are fast. I hate the repackaging and would prefer they sell full cartons double boxed. But I can understand it for people who like mixes. That isn't me.

          There are a few there id love a carton of. And are competitive. But I do buy high end beers though. I don't want to say what or how much. Stuff you can cellar and ages well. Particularly barrel aged ales. And they have a few there.

    Having a quick browse through, regular prices aren't great but with 25% off there's some pretty good prices e.g. Pirate Life Mosaic IPA cans - $34 per 4 pack. $40 plus elsewhere.Bucket Boys If You Like Pina Colada is a surprisingly good beer - great for summer and good price after 25% off.

    4 pack of Six String Double Dark Red IPA for 27.50 after discount is good as well. Unbelievable beer - one of the best I've ever had.

    So not as bad as indicated above although shipping will impact savings. You need to go for the beers you can't get at Dan's/
