You don't do any shopping? Pay any bills? Surely it's not difficult to find a use for $250

Yes, but i'm looking to use it online. hence why i'm asking how to Convert/cashout with minimal loss?

      • +2

Well that would be minimal loss…

Eftpos card - Use for groceries/cash
Cash from earnings - use for online spending..

        = No net value loss

Mate, save your breath before OP asks you to pay $1 interest for your advice and help.

  • Can't you cashout from Woolies / Coles w/o purchase?

    • Not with a Giftcard

      • But it is eftpos right?

        • Yeah but if you try to get cashout the terminal will not allow it to be done once the card is swiped / inserted

        • @grimace3: Oh ok good to know

Use it to top up your Opal card.
You would've topped it up anyway so use that cash for other purchases

    how about this:
    1) use your eftpos card to pay for your grocery/petrol/opal/energy bills etc. I am sure whatever balance you have on your eftpos gift card will be able to pay for some of these charges (that you would have normally paid with your own cash).
    2) Whatever cash you saved in step 1 above, use that cash instead for your online or paypal shop that you intend to do.
Its a no brainer. Dont need to waste your time and resource on finding a cheap visa card and convert your gift card to visa which mind you will not give you 100% conversion rate
