I missed the black Friday deals on 500gb slim PS4. Is there going to be a good deal on Christmas/boxing day or should I start looking for a used one instead?

Major stores like JB Hi-Fi, Big W and Target had the PS4 deals running for 4 days, don't know how you 'missed' it, unless you weren't aware there was such a sale going on in the first place? You may have a chance with JB, just ask their sales staff politely if they can match yesterday's price, they have done so in the past for a laptop deal.
If this isn't possible, then you will most likely have to wait until the boxing day sales.
I got work on friday and sat and by sunday all of the stores (JB, target & big W) ran out of the 500 gb ps4. Yeap i think im gonna wait for the boxing day deals. thanks for the input
I was the same, had to look after sick daughter Friday and Saturday and by the arvo they were sold out everywhere. The pleasure (knowing the deals available) and pain (everyone else does as well, can't be slow) of Oz bargain.
You can wait for Boxing Day deals. For comparison, I think the cheapest 500GB PS4 last Black Friday was $269 - $20 JB voucher = $249. You can use that as the benchmark when scouting.
Last year the black friday console discounts were repeated in the lead up to Christmas, although with different games, from memory.

unfortunately my budget are limited to 500gb prices and im not so keen on racing games

want the $269 deals. Big W had it for $279 and target for 299. but every store ran out of stock.
Yeah its the slim version and 500 gb is enough for me and if i needed space, i can buy an external HDD which is cheaper i think
