My local Austpost delivery man showed up at my door on two Sundays recently. He came early in the morning so I failed to bring up this question in my drowsy state.
Is this a new service or is he a busy bee? All of them are regular parcels and I am in Melbourne.

Huh. Not OP but thanks for the info. I'd be very weirded out by a postie on a weekend.
It can even be a little inconvenient at times. I had a package ETA on a Monday. Thursday the online tracking said it was going to be delivered Friday. Midday Friday tracking was bumped back to Monday. 7:20 Saturday morning I got an SMS saying it was onboard for delivery, and it was delivered 20 minutes later.
I would be spooked to have a delivery early on a Sunday morning. But don’t mind as long as my parcel arrives.
I've had Saturday deliveries before but not Sunday.
Your local delivery man probably slept for two days straight and didn't realise it was a Sunday.
