  • It should be fine, especially so if your boarding pass has the QF number (which it probably will have).

  • possible they are all one world alliance and they used to allow it all the time (depending on membership level)

    Give them a call 13 11 31 take a few mins to ask the people who should be able to tell you.

    • Emirates is not part of the OneWorld alliance. They have a codeshare partnership with Qantas for certain routes. However, if you have a QF number, you can use the Qantas club.

      • Yes they are you just don't earn status credits if it's ticketed under Emirates

        (https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/partners/airline/emirates#…)

        • Qantas is just one airline within Oneworld and can have partnerships outside of One World. The Oneworld alliance has 15 airlines in it listed here - https://www.oneworld.com/member-airlines/overview

          The alliance provides much more than just codeshares. It allows the use of points on other airlines. You cannot use Emirate rewards on American Airlines or Cathay, for eg.

          Emirates is not even considered an affiliate airline in One World. - https://www.oneworld.com/member-airlines/oneworld-airline-af…

        • @MrHyde: the question was about eligibility of lounge access on a ticket sold as qantas so yes you get your points no status credits the only thing that is a disadvantage is if the membership was emirates.

          So that Emirates flight the points earned can be used because it's code share with qantas. he isn't earning emirates points.

          You need to look at it from the affiliation you have thats why you think Emirates is a disadvantage.

          Perhaps i shouldn't have used oneworld but thats how your teated and have been for years now.

        • +1

          @Toons:

          Sorry, its your use of the word One World that confused me. Yes, Emirates will earn you points with QF and as long as you are only wanting to use QF benefits (not OneWorld benefits), it is fine.

        • @MrHyde: it's cool my mistake on terminology, since they PARTNERED lol as i say they have treated us just the same as the lot.

  • Qantas Club closes after the last Qantas flight and they do not stay open for codeshare flights with Emirates, so if your flight is late you may be out of luck.
