  • Why is the postage so high, I've gotten things for free which were larger than these cards, I don't understand this.

  • Postage is $19.99. You said shipping cap?

    • the postage is $5 Cap Australia

if you cannot get it at $5, please check out and don't process the payment. and then submit a ticket, we help you to follow up.

  • what class for the 16G sandisk?

  • Class 2

    • Just so people know, this means a transfer rate of 2MB/s.

Many HD video cameras won't work with them (Class 6 is recommended).

      • Wow that is slow! Would take more than 2 hours to write the whole card on a PC.

      • It's the minimum sustained write speeds. With class 2 cards you usually get around 5MB/s write and 10MB/s read.

      • +3

No, class rating is the minimum write speed.

        In real life…
My Sandisk Class 2 16GB cards give 7MB/s write (exact card on sale here).
My Kingston Class 4 16GB gives 10MB/s write.
My Sandisk Class 4 8GB gives 14MB/s write.

So if it was a budget manufacturer, these Sandisk Class 2 cards would have been labelled Class 6. But Sandisk make much higher speed cards than these, so they need to reserve the higher class ratings for those very high speed cards, otherwise all their cards would be class 6+

The upshot of all this is…
        1. you cannot compare class ratings between brands (which kind of defeats the purpose).
        2. Big name/brand cards will be most likely to significantly out-perform their class ratings than lesser brands.

        • It's interesting, but the NewEgg user reviews seem to be all over the place on the speed of this card…

          http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDHC-Memory-SDSDQ-016G-Pa…

        • You'll notice the bad reviews are all subjective, ie bs. All the reviews that quote actual transfer speeds all say its great value.

If sandisk wrote class 4 or 6 on the card, which they could rightly do, those reviews would prob be good.

  • Looks like every store is trying to get rid of their 8gb cards. Can't find much of a bargain on the 16gb cards though.

  • -3

    NOT a bargain… office works sells for 12 dollars.. for 8gb.. 16gb for 34

so not really a bargain at all

    • +1

erm…the micro sd that officeworks sells for $12 is a 2 gig card…..their price for the 8gb card is $34.42

    • $34 at office works??? NO ITS NOT!
Where did u get that price from because i couldnt find SanDisk microSDHC 16GB at officeworks for that price, they had it for $48! and its also online for $48

  • good price on a good brand card

  • Is this potentially a better offer? Looks like the 4 speed one…
