Good deal if you can pick up.
Awesome card runs everything fine :) picked mine up for $210 from MSY when they first came out
New 6XXX model ATI Radeon cards have just come out, and more will come out in the month ahead.
Hold off, and the existing 5XXX models will drop in price further.
Useful video card performance benchmarks for the 4XXX, 5XXX and 6XXX video cards, and their nVidia competition, can be found here (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html)
I didn't mark this deal negative as, if someone needs a card today, this is still reasonable deal relative to today's market.
Great chart though it is overly simple. Is there a crysis bar chart?
Damn, I thought my GT7600 was fast. These new cards are pretty crazy on the bar graph.yeah these cards are great runs all the latest games on decent settings.
A tad off topic I'm no expert on graphics cards or anything so please forgive my ignorance but on the benchmark link its lists the HD5970 as 8th on the list I thought for a card with a price of $600+ it would be much closer to the top of the list. Why is this?
cheapest on static ice by about 9 bux…
but then the next cheapest is 25 more… not to bad…
