I have a similar set from a few years (more than a few years to think of it) ago I bought for $150 2nd hand, they looked almost new. (the look the same as the Joyce Mayne picture, the sub woofer look different at HN).

Since having kids, I never go the surround speakers mounted in case it fell on them.
I have better audio hifi speakers I normally use, my son knocked it over and squished his toe when he was two or three, lucky it looks normal now I think :(
It definitely sounds better than in stereo. Clarity wise I am not sure, audiophiles will not be happy with this at all. I would say it was mid-range.
Most modern systems use soundbars. Its the wires..
I have the Yamaha amp RV-4xx something.
The speakers I got came from a 6.1 system, three rear speakers. that how old it is.
So I am not that helpful.
Does anyone have these? Are they any good?
