Hi Ozbargain community!
I've been lurking around Ozbargain for a while now but finally I have something to offer that may interest some of you!
My friend and I are hosting a Concept Art - Digital Painting Workshop late January in Prahran, Melbourne, which would be great for anyone interested in illustration, games, film etc.
The workshop will be split into two weeks (5 days each week).
This is how the weeks are broken up.
WEEK 1 - 29th January - 2nd February, 1pm to 5pm
Week 1 is an introduction to digital painting. You will discover the deconstructing process to understand the inner workings of the industry standard techniques. Week 1’s classes will cover essential core fundamentals such as perspective, composition, tonal value, colour and light and use of brushes & textures in Photoshop evident in all art and design industries.
DAY 1 - Photoshop + Perspective
DAY 2 - Composition + Layout
DAY 3 - Tonal Value
DAY 4 - Colour and Light
DAY 5 - Design + Illustration
WEEK 2 - 5th February - 9th February, 1pm to 5pm
Week 2 is an extension of the Week 1 classes. We will dive deeper into the intricacies of digital painting and composing an image specifically for environment and prop design. We will be covering core design principles as well as techniques to implement them.
DAY 6 - Advanced Photoshop Techniques
DAY 7 - Design purpose
DAY 8 - Prop design
DAY 9 - Mood painting
DAY 10 - Environment Design
