Leatherman OHT One-Handed Multitool $98.80 @ Knives Online eBay

POOLSIDE

Looks like a pretty good price for this neat Leatherman. You can deploy the pliers with a flick of the wrist.

Great reviews on Amazon, and cheaper than them too.

Here's a random YouTube video showing what you can do with it.

The Leatherman Crunch is $117.20, which is also cheaper than Amazon.

Leatherman Rebar is $87.60, also cheaper than Amazon.

Just some feedback for anyone considering buying one, great price, however the quality control on these is much lower than you would expect if you've used Leatherman multitools before. It's very common for the nose on the pliers to be out of alignment by a few mm - in fact I had to refund and replace 3 before I got one that was acceptable (however still now 100% perfectly aligned.

That being said, this is by far my favourite Leatherman tool, the quick deploy spring assisted pliers are worth their weight in gold if you're an idiot like me and you've already committed one hand to something before realising you need pliers.

The blade is also fairly pathetic, but the long shank screwdriver is useful.

    • Hmm, mine was fine first-go. I hadn't heard of that problem in the reviews I read and watched prior to purchase too. Maybe it was a bad batch.

The long-shank screwdriver was one of the reasons I bought it. The two blades are smaller than other knife-oriented leathermen, but it's fine to me because this is a plier-oriented leatherman. :)

      • Yeah it may have just been a bad batch, but still frustrating at the time to try and sort out - I EDC a Spyderco PM2 so I don't really depend on the OHT for the knife, and it still cuts regardless. As far as pliers though, it kicks ass and I really dig the replaceable wire cutters.

  • Still got my original Gerber Multi-plier, same opening action.

    • My gerber is still kicking after over 20 years. I need to sharpen the blade and clean out of the sockets for the tools. The tools are sticking. There is a youtube video somewhere showing how to. dismantle the tools.

      • Great tool, it's main problem was the pliers unfortunately liked to slip off when gripping something which would then pinch the skin of your palm between the handles … can't remember how many times I swore at that.

Ended up buying the Gerber Evo Tool to get around that problem.

  • Useful for when you have to cut your arm off that is trapped under a boulder.

    • It's going to take quite a while to pluck your arm away with the pliers!

It might even take 127 hours

        • With a knife maybe. It'll take much longer with pliers!
