buy it again on Thursday and return with the old receipt…..
oh wow this is so smart. wait, dont they have barcode on the disc?
They'll all be the same barcode.
@moabboy: so are you confirming that this will work?
heh and pay for fuel and time and effort (unless you are heading to a big w anyway)
anyone got link to the whole catalogue? The one I found on Big W is different.
Yeah this is the new one which wont be online till mid week, some people get it early in their mail
thanks
Picked up an Xbox for Xmas pressie for the kids in a past deal..
Is this the cheapest I could pickup a spare controller do you think?
Also, any of these games on special suitable for 9-10 year old?
Thanks.
With the exception of of the sport/racing games, they all involve shooting and killing. And then there's South Park.
There are a heap of well-priced kid-friendly games in the Xbox digital sale, if you can download.
Get them FIFA 18 for great memories and bonding over two player games! Also Forza Horizon 3 if it comes up cheap.
Yes this will be the cheapest xbox controller you will find.
TitanFall 2 is more about Robots shooting so that might be a good starting FPS, or overwatch, its mroe cartoony than realistic like COD and BF.
Look at EA Access, will give you access to their Vault for free games from EA for $40 a year. got some Need For Speed on it and all their sporting games (previous years)
Good price for FIFA? And any thoughts on single player for Ghost Recon?
for $24 GR is good. set in bolivia. nice big map. missions are repetitive but it's fun if you have a thing for south america.
driving is average and vehicles are limited.
Single player Ghost Recon is top notch in my opinion. When people say it's repetitive (not having a go at you insular), I mean, they're not wrong but I reckon you could say the same about rocket league… you're always doing the same thing but if it's fun who cares. In this case, stealthily (or non-stealthily) taking out bad guys. I mean, if I was going home to Cara Delevigne every night would I call it off just because of the repetition? To sum up - an absolute steal at $24 IMO!
Need some advice guys…
Should i buy a new 2ds xl or secondhand 3ds xl from gumtree?
I really like my 2DS XL. I upgraded from a 2DS.
On one hand, the 2DS XL is significantly lighter.
On the other hand, a used “new” 3ds XL is a great deal when buying bundled with games from what I’ve seen on eBay .
I bought hubby the 2DSXL for his commute to work. He likes it, easy to carry/not bulky, can even fit in his pocket!
Buying games for it was a pain, they're rarely on sale from what I can tell. But he does enjoy playing it on his 1hr+ commute each day so my wifely duty is complete.
Edit: game problem is the same for the 3DSXL as they use the same ones.
Anyone know if you can lay-by the consoles?
Will this be in store only, or online as well? Not a fan of fending off crowds plus the whole thing of working and probably nothing left by the time I finish…
also would like to know this. And will After Pay be accepted?
All offers will be available online and After Pay will be accepted.
awesome, Thank you!
No PS4 Pro???
While we should support local businesses, we should also check out the Black Friday deals from the US. Some may not apply if they don't ship outside of the US but the following link also includes deals from Amazon (which are yet to go live):

Like you said, support local businesses ;)
As long as you support us ;)
once you get it landed, any issues, it’s a hassle to get it back I’ve found personally. Considering these prices I’ll be heading in
For consoles, yes it will be a hassle if you need to claim warranty, but for console games, I doubt there will be any hassle especially if you go digital.
For the games, i recently find out the local price is slightly better than oversea, specifically from UK.
@kendo: UK game prices aren't very good. In fact, I think the Oceanic region is still lumped together with Europe (PAL regions) and that's probably why when you compare the prices for the two regions, our prices here seems ok (and better than UK when they are on sale here). However, US generally has better prices when they are on sale (such as the Black Friday sales). You may also find better deals in other regions (for digital downloads), such as India, Mexico, Argentina, Russia etc because their cost of living is lower and to combat piracy. But getting games from these regions can be a hassle.
If anybody wanted to try VR on the cheap:
$279 PS4
$359 PSVR with VR worlds + Skyrim VR
$638 total for a brand new PS4, PSVR, full fat RPG game and a tech demo game.
Basically the same price as the Oculus by itself.
/JB HiFI has entered the battle!
/JB casts GT Sport $29
It’s super effective!
Let’s hope EB Games dont compete as well 😬 they don’t beat most of these games. Only very rarely
These Xbox One and PS4 deals are going to kill used values on Gumtree and whatever.
xbox one s is a good steal or shall i get ps4?
PS4 has a very large exclusive library, PSVR is an option, and third party games usually look better 1080p vs Xbox One 900p.
Xbox One has a handful of exclusives (most you can get on PC), cross buy/ saves between Windows 10 PC, nice amount of 360 + a few Original Xbox backwards compatible games.
Which of these has the most important features to you? Because besides that online and system functions are almost identical. Both record gameplay, have external storage options and basically cost the same for online play.
Factor in which console your friends have too.
I would say PS4. You buy a console for it's library of games and PS4 has a huge amount of games only found there.
At these prices aim to have both of you can. I have a soft spot for my Xbox one. Controller is way more comfortable too.
I grabbed a PS4 for Uncharted 4 - I've since purchased grabbed a few more PlayStation exclusive titles but haven't had a chance to play.
Absolutely agree! Completely forgot about controllers.
The DS4 battery life is 5-6 hours vs X1 controllers 20-ish hours.
Buy some rechargeable AA's for your Xbox One controller. When a DS4 battery dies (like my launch one), you need to crack it open and replace with a cheap Chinese battery (which are trash), or buy a whole new controller.
Trigger rumble is also a much more useful feature in the Xbox controller than a built in speaker and tilt in the DS4, which rarely get used or help game play (I turn off the speakers in my DS4 to try to save battery).
They both feel great to hold and use though. Xbox One's controller is basically a slightly more ergonomic shape of the Xbox 360 controller, which already felt great to hold. The DS4 is actually a surprisingly wide controller, which works great for people with large hands.
Answer these two questions before considering anything else.
Does anyone know the XB1 S hard drive size? 500 GB or 1 TB?
at that price I'd assume 500GB
Thanks, got JB to price match the Switch Pro Controller and used a $20 gift voucher I had.
The missus bought me GTSport for xmas. Time for her to return it and buy it again :D
Just went to my local Big W to get Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and they told me they had none in stock even though there were x5 cases on the shelf?
How is their inventory out by so much?
They had a bunch of copies of Lost Legacy at my store, but none with a Jak and Daxter code unfortunately.
Picked up a copy of Lost Legacy from JB. They price matched Big W.
I literally bought AC: Origins yesterday for $71 ($79 with 10% off). Can I return it? I already opened and played it, but BigWs return policy says that it must be returned with original packaging, including shrinkwrap. Please tell me I can return it.
