It was available for $48 from ozgameshop a few days ago when the 10% code was active

  • Another question, does the save you have from base game got carri d over to the complete edition?

    • Apparently only if you buy the game from the same region. So if you bought this copy but had an aus copy and save file of the original game it may not work.

      • Oh, that does not sound good, I guess I have to cancel it.

        But thanks

        • This might not be true. I know with the Witcher 3 complete edition, it was treated as a different game altogether from the base version. So in that case the save file was not transferable. But I have found a reddit page where someone claimed they asked Guerilla games about this and they did say about the save file only being transferable to the same region. However, I'm 90% sure that with region 2 and 4 (UK and Australia) the discs are identical. There is no difference aside from the label. DLC works fine between the 2 so I would assume the save file should also work.

Now I may be wrong about this, so I don't want you to waste your money. But might be worth trying to investigate a bit more.

Here is a link to the reddit page discussing this. The response from guerilla games is down the bottom:

        • @Shaun Prawn: thanks a lot for your detailed suggestion!! I just read some similar posts on reddit, I guess I will try to email guerilla to confirm it.

God I wish Horizon: Zero Dawn would come to PC..

    • Get a 2nd hand PS4, then go get Zero Dawn, Last of Us, Uncharted and upcoming Spider-Man!

  • I've never bought a game from base before. Is there any issues with region locking if I buy this from the UK vs Aussie stock?

    • +2

No you won't have any problems. Region 2 and 4 are basically the same. I buy just about all of my games from UK.

  • Thanks Shaun! This won't be a problem with DLC's either, right? (Not for this game but for others)

No probs. That is correct. It's only region 1 and 3 you gotta watch for, Asia and North America. You won't be able to use DLC from the Australian PlayStation store for games from those regions. I believe if you create an SEN account for the associated region of the game (Asia or America) then you can get the DLC off that store but I'm not 100% certain.

  • Man, in the last few days i have bought 2 ps4 games, the psvr with 3 games, and an extra ps4 controller. I really wish a good PS4 PRO console deal comes out ASAP before all this stuff arrives. Bring on the holidays!!

  • Is this game a collectathon? Because I hate that aspect about open world games, and you usually don't get anything meaningful for it. They're just capitalizing on OCD behavior of people like me. In Zelda you collect like over 700 of something and you're rewarded with a poop trophy as a reward. Nice.

There are quite a few collectibles but it's definitely not excessive. The rewards for most of them are underwhelming but honestly the world is absolutely amazing to explore. I enjoyed just walking around exploring more than I enjoyed the main story of the game. The combat is also quite fun, with a pretty good variety of tactics. Also each time you discover a new machine can be pretty intense, especially some of the larger ones. I did have it on very hard in my playthrough and it was a fairly balanced difficulty I believe.

      • I agree that you should play on Very Hard, otherwise the game is too easy once you get the hang of it.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one!

  • hope this stays on till next ps4 pro deal.

I got my copy, the save is not computable with Australian base game save. Sad
