Best VALUE Laptop Approximately $500 Delivered ?

hi guys

im looking for the best value laptop delivered at around $500, and see what response or recommendation i can get from people here
i was just about to buy this machine below, then realised id need an adaptor, so i pulled out

i have a lenovo x1 original model and its still going fantastic 5 years on, so im keen on lenovo, but open to a change if specs are spot on

    A $500 Lenovo would be very different from your X1 Carbon that was probably $1500+ when purchased new. If you want something of similar quality, you'll have to go with refurbished old models.

    Sorry no opinion on the Acer Aspire above. However I do usually avoid Acer Aspire and HP Pavilion laptops.

    yes i realise. just require something more basic that can sit on lounge table for kids to utilise.

    yes would certainly prefer SSD, i5 and 8GB ram…im looking believe me

    couldn't find anything "buy-able" in my book, so on the lookout for a silly deal, budget increased to $600 ish

    we recently bought the aspire, the cord was replaced for $6 and the machine's been running like a dream.

    I'd honestly grab a 2 in 1 tablet instead.
