EMAILSORRY

I've logged into another account, and checked the coupon does work. Does not seem to be targeted although I may be wrong..

"Yesterday we accidentally sent you an email, which you weren't supposed to receive. We're embarrassed and sorry for any annoyance or confusion we've caused. We understand how important your emails are to you and we'd like to offer you this $10 coupon towards your next task. Coupon code: EMAILSORRY (Add when accepting an offer. Expires 30/11/17)."

Out of curiosity, what was the email? Quite sure I didn't receive it.

Was it the one about "sew you think you can knit" and building a tiki bar? If so, whats embarrassing about that?

I assume it was this one…

      Hi Michael,

I'm Lucas, The Country Manager for Airtasker in the UK.

Airtasker is an open and local marketplace where you can use your skills to earn money when you do tasks for other people who need help around the home.

We are launching soon in London, so I'm looking to get in touch with electricians, plumbers, removalists and handymen who are interested in using their qualifications and want to be the one of the first onboard.

After seeing your profile online, I thought I'd reach out to see if you'd like to sign up to find out more. It's an opportunity to grow new leads for your business, and you could earn up to £2,900 a month!

And the kicker… The first 5 people to complete their account will receive a £500 gift voucher from B&Q for your next project!

      • Oh right didn't see that one, must have gone straight into spam lol.

  • a reason to give away $10.

  • Easy… buy something on ebay for me….buy kfc…

    • Except airtasker takes such a big fee out, what are you going to get people to buy and deliver for $10, (although they only get like $8 or so)

      • Airtasker takes 15 percent.

        • Does that not seem like a lot to you?

@pennypincher98: Not particularly, but I wasn't commenting on it either way, I was just putting the actual figure out there, rather than the fairly useless "big fee" mention.

        • @Mic Cullen: fair enough. But I guess if you want someone's services 15% is a normal rate you would expect to pay.
